Weapon ranges.
What are the weapon ranges? and can the weapons batteries be expanded in range for wide area orbital bombardment? Thanks.

ive seen videos of people using them for orbital cannons, but when i try, they dont even get 1km away

I know eh? I'd think the inaccuracy and lack of turreting would make the weapons batteries a balenced choice for long range weapons use.

Pretty sure MK3 is 1200m, MK2 is 1000m and MK1 is 800m. The default engagement range setting for the AI versions are all 800m. When you're controlling the MK3, the accuracy at 1200m looks terrible but you're actually hitting on target more than it appears. It's tough because you don't have the HUD markers highlighting your targets. (GPS, etc..)

still, it would be nice to have a turret/cannon that can reach 50km+

mexpex actually has the answer for that one. look up his mk 1 coil cannon. 40km range and 1km/second projectile velocity

but its only 1 turret, no variety.

OH I know of them, I just prefer the balence of having the long range weapons be slightly innacurate batteries to create more counters.
