2019-01-04 v0.43.0 "Sequana"
============================
> Sequana is a Celtic river goddess popular in Gaul. She was the patron of the river that bore her name, now known as the Seine. A shrine near the source of the river holds a Roman era statue of the goddess, revealing her popularity even after Caesar's conquest. Hundreds of votive offerings to Sequana have been found at the bottom of the river near the shrine.
General:
- Fixed many, many, *many* bugs.
Celtic:
- Living Legend bloodline event has been fixed. Those of you with many duplicate bloodlines can keep them as compensation for your troubles.
- Added new Torques as Celtic crown jewels. These will replace crowns (but take the neck slot), and Celts will get the swords Christians and Norse get.
- The Celtic Warrior Lodge, "The Band of Camulos", has been added. Camulos is a Briton war and storm god.
- Special leader trait is "Raider".
- +50% Imprison Enemy Commander
- +20% in Hill Terrain
- +20% Morale Offence
Britannic:
- Missing localisation was added for events involving a vassalized Arch-Dryad and having free investiture after the Arch-Dryad has been created.
- Fixes bug with events where the Arch-Dryad gives artifacts to favored rulers.
- Britannic characters will also use the new torques as crown jewels.
- The Britannic Warrior Lodge, "The Champions of Andraste", has been added. Andraste is the Sanctaidd ("Archangel") of Victory.
- Special leader trait is "Lancer".
- +20% Plains and Farmland Terrains.
- +20% to Light and Heavy Cavalry.
Hellenic:
- Bug fixes and new events for the Artemis event chain from formerly retired CK2 modder cybrxkhan. Thanks!
Promethean:
- Skeptic and Epicurean monastic orders have been added.
- They're mostly copies of the Stoics, with small tweaks here and there.
- Most anyone who has access to the Stoics will also have access to these societies.
- The relevant neoplatonist traits have been factored into all three societies.
- All three Neoplatonist societies favor Learning, but each also favors another attribute.
- The 0.5 x Learning bonus has been replaced with a 0.3 x Learning + 0.2 x the other attribute
- Stoics favor and grant Diplomacy.
- Skeptics favor and grant Intrigue.
- Epicureans favor and grant Stewardship.
- Removed Promethean from Lets. Get. PAGAN!, as it's now a heresy of a reformed religion, which makes things buggy.
- Restored The Coven as a satanist society for Prometheans.
Titan Cult:
- The Titan Warrior Lodge, "The Warriors of Perses", has been added. Perses is the Titan of Devastation.
- Special leader trait is "Ravager".
- +20% in Mountain Terrain.
- +20% for Light and Heavy Infantry.
- Made The Coven the satanist society of the Titan Cult.
Egyptian:
- The Egyptian/Atenic Warrior Lodge, "The Champions of the Sun", has been added.
- Special leader trait is "Sandstrider".
- +20% in Desert and Plains Terrains.
- +10% Speed
- +10% Retreat
- +20% Siege
Atenic:
- Removed Atenic from Lets. Get. PAGAN!, as it's now a heresy of a reformed religion, which makes things buggy.
I thought this may be because it needs to be created by decision like the hellenic one, but after digging through the files, no such decision seems to exist.
Thought maybe being the only member of the religion in the world had something to do with it, but the problem persisted even after activating lets get pagan and waiting a year of in game time.
Tried editing the society file to force the celtic one to appear by giving it extremely basic requirements (only having holy fury and being a celtic pagan), and it still refused to pop up.
So am I missing something or is this a bug?
Oh and I'm on 3.0.1.1 if it matters.
P.S. If you continue a prior save before the beta updates with beta updates activated, members of the warrior lodges have instead african warrior lodges tattoos instead of what their supposed tattoo should be. This's possibly because of the still bugged celtic and egyptian warrior lodges as well.
There are now decisions to create the lodges like there is for The Olympic Champions. Also had to add code that initializes the Skeptic and Epicurean societies (which are created by the decision that also creates the Stoics).
Thanks for your help!
There is no Go Berserk option when you right click on your character (tested with the founder of the lodge, so he should definitely have a rank 1 ability at rank 4)
This is the background for the society (not sure if meant to be a placeholder for the time being or a bug) https://i.imgur.com/CSRZpyH.jpg
There also doesn't seem to be clothes for the society at the moment either, but I imagine thats a much lower priority than getting the societies working first (If I may make a suggestion that should be much easier than making the outfits entirely from scratch, you could probably reuse shield and weapon assets from other societies, and just give them facial tattoos as celtic warriors were known for their intricate blue tattoos/warpaint).
Oh and thanks for the quick fixes to the beta :D
Edit: Another potential bug I don't seem to be getting missions for the lodge. This may have something to do with it only having 7 members though? Edit 2: I just got one, but it took a REALLY long time to get one, I don't know if it was just stuck, or what, will report any further changes. Edit 3: yea they're coming through now, no idea why it took so long for the first one though.
The backgrounds are placeholders for now, but it's supposed to be the Wolf Warriors bg, not the religion bg. I'll take your suggestion for the clothes.
The missions being slow probably has a lot to do with the lack of members early on.
I do intend to add unique doctrines for Celtic and Egyptian at some point. I just need to figure out what they should be. Like, what would be the "essence" of the religion?
Edit: It does https://i.imgur.com/PHPZslH.jpg
As for the doctrines, a dude in another thread mentioned combining Haruspicy, Animism, and Equality for the Celtic doctrine, and that sounds about right, though maybe Enatic Clans rather than Equality? I'm not 100% but I feel like you hear a lot more about ancient Celtic Warrior Queens, than Warrior Kings. Bloodthirsty gods may work too since the celts were very vicious, but you kinda have that covered with the headhunter mechanic.
Egyptian doctrines, I have no real idea, other than Equality, they were definitely fairly ahead of their time with their views on that one.
I remember that idea, it looked good to me. I would like to do Equality rather than Enatic Clans to let Britannic remain distinct. I also don't want to do Bloodthirsty Gods as I have plans for a second Druidic Heresy in that direction.
Yeah, it's tough for the Egyptians.
For Egyptian, maybe Equality, since we have male and female Pharaoh, Stability, since when a Pharaoh ascends the throne, their legitimacy is usually unquestioned, and lastly Ancestor Veneration, since there are some people that is made into god, like Imhotep?
