1. Have a clean install of PZ Build 42 (experimental branch) with no mods subscribed, no mods downloaded
[right click Project Zomboid on your Steam Library, click Properties, click Betas, and click unstable - UNSTABLE - backup first, then wait for the download to finish]
2. Subscribe to this collection and let all downloads finish
3. Go to your install drive, like C: Program Files - Steam - steam apps - workshop - content - 108600 - 3397396843 - mods - KnoxEventExpanded - java
- copy the Zombie and Knox folders into your Project Zomboid install directory
- C: Program Files - Steam - steam apps - common - Project Zomboid
- overwrite all files
4. Run the game. For larger screens, I recommend going into settings and changing User Interface settings for 38px Font Size and 128 Moodles and Icons, Inventory Container Button Size to Large. To zoom in further then normal, also check Zoom 25%
5. Solo - Custom Sandbox (for customizable mod settings)
6. Click Choose Mods, click Ok on the pop up warning, Find the mod in the list of mods called Mod Load Order Sorter. Enable that mod only by itself first and click accept. Then Click Choose mods again. Click the bottom choose preset box, click --enable all--. Save preset as whatever you want.
*** ATTENTION*** There are still mods that are duplicates and don't need to all be enabled at once. Make sure you look through the list yourself and disable any duplicate mods
(Look below in the comments of this discussion. I post which ones you need to look through).

7. Mod Order - Click Sort. Place Escape from Kentucky at the bottom of the list, then place CleanHotBars underneath it. Your mod order should look like the Mod Order that I posted in the discussions.
8. Click Accept and wait for the game to load Scripts, Lua, etc.
9. Reselect Custom Sandbox if it got deselected. Click Next.
10. Choose Spawn point. Rosewood recommended.
11. Set up your world settings to whatever you want. Notice as you scroll down there are mod settings. Check other discussion for recommended settings for mods. Click Next
12. Choose occupation and traits. Click Next.
13. Create character.
[NOTE - different occupations will allow for different clothing options.]

14. Click Play. Let the game load. Once it says "This is how you died - click to start" click anyhwere on screen
[NOTE - you may notice error messages pop up. I'm working on those. If you encounter something game breaking lmk.]

15. The game will be paused and you'll see the map. This is Knox Event (placing NPC's into the world). You can mess with the settings if you want, but I leave it as is.
- Find your location on the map
- Click the green "Start" - it will simulate couples from 1970's to 1993, determine how many It NPC's are there in the world now.
- Click the green "Close" It will say how many NPC's it will spawn in. Click Green "Yes".
