FAQ
My game crashes when loading a map!
SHORT: You have too many addons.

LONG: This kind of crash is due to a problem with Garry's Mod itself, and will happen when there are too many scripts loaded into the game. In order for the TF2 bots to retain their complexity, they require a whopping 600 .lua files. The number of scripts your game can handle depends on your computer, and unfortunately there's no reliable fix for this issue.


I'm getting errors!
SHORT: One of your addons is conflicting.

LONG: This is usually caused by other addons with messy hooks (such as dismemberment and gore mods), or by addons thinking that TF2 Bots are NPCs, which they are, in fact, not. I can't really go through evey single addon on the workshop to weed out all the little conflictions with the TF2 Bots, so unfortunately there's no reliable fix for this issue aside from removing the conflicting addons.


The bots won't move!
If you're getting errors, see "I'm getting errors" instead.
SHORT: Bots can't walk there. Put them somewhere else.

LONG: The TF2 Bots are programmed to navigate on maps without navmeshes, so the only way that they'll get confused is if they're trying to rely on a nav mesh that isn't there. So if a map has a nav mesh, but the spot the bot is standing in doesn't have any nodes, he won't know what to do. Many noded maps won't have nodes in places players aren't expected to walk.


The robo engineer won't build!
SHORT: He needs metal before he can build.

LONG: Sentries, dispensers, weapons dropped by other bots, and robot gibs can all be collected by engineers and used as metal. When metal is nearby, the engineer will collect it. Several pieces must be collected before something can be built.



Can you make halloween bosses?!
SHORT: No, I don't want to.

LONG: It's already been done, plus I personally don't care too much for TF2's halloween mode, so re-programming them isn't very appealing to me.




The models are ERRORs! The textures are purple and black! The bots are invisible!
SHORT: Make sure TF2 is installed and updated.

LONG: Valve screwed around with model names at one point, so you might get model errors if you've got an old version of the game. Or if it's not even installed.

the halloween bosses have not been done.....only the hhh.....atleast make it so that the bots can fight him

I haven't actually seen the TF2 Halloween bosses in action, and frankly I don't think they'd be very interesting to do, especially since the giant MvM Bots fill the role of bosses.

no the halloween bosses were the first to fill the boss role if you look at the updates and are much harder then you think

I'm not currently working on it, but it's not 'abandoned'. I'm still active on the workshop page, and try to respond to questions. While I'm not writing code, I'm still helping people troubleshoot.

NPCs like zombies, rebels, and metropolice won't attack the bots, but the bots will attack the NPCs?

I used Parakeet's pill pack for tf2 pill pack
and i was a scout bot and i spawned red and
they didn't attack me is this a glitch?
or does it not support pill pack's?

Are you able to make cosmetics have unusual effects?
Urgent! I have an error saying that i need to go to the console because i haven't mounted the NPC. And i don't know how to mount an NPC. This proberly an embarrasing comment to say. Anyway, plz help!!:steamsad:

Bots in T-Pose
I have a private server on sandbox that I like to play with friends. I have installed this mod, but whenever I spawn an npc, they are always in t-pose and aren't moving. I tried spawning an engineer, they made a dispenser, which was also in a frozen position. Sentries have the same result. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Also, I spawned a heavy and got a status report, and this is what came up.

I'm guessing these 3 are what needs to be fixed, but i'm not sure how.

Also, I just found out that, like the bots, the bombs/rockets from the Australium Hellfire are frozen and won't move. The bombs blow up after a few seconds, but the rockets will stay still with the particle effect until it's manually removed.

I know part of the post says something about it but for this it's different.
No Console Errors
Considering i says "NavMesh: 853 areas." I'm guessing that there is a navmesh, but I'm not sure."

(gm_flatgrass was the map)
(attempted on gm_construct, worked in singleplayer, but not the server.)
