From what I'm seeing VCE reworked their recipe system definition while going from 1.5 to 1.6, breaking the patch. I'll see if I can get it fixed, might take some time.
Should work like previous version now, that said I'm not convinced that having a custom cheese is really the way. Seems like a maintenance nightmare. And I'm not sure if in older times VCE would color their cheese through xml that would explain why our custom texture is white. It's for sure not the case anymore tho, so I'm putting into question having a custom cheese. Might drop it to use VCE's textures.
I'm taking input on that one as I usually don't play with Vanilla Cooking Expanded.
I do know that the Vanilla Expanded series has been slightly rocky lately due to a couple of namespace changes as well as base level expansions such as furniture. That's why I think it may not be worth the effort and protect yourself from a headache in the future.
