I also want to thank user LittleFireFly, who found a way to recover the lost conversations!

What happened?
When the mod was updated, some internal structure changes prevented RimWorld from linking the saved conversations properly. As a result, older saves appeared with missing chat histories.

How to recover your conversations:

• Find an older save file:
  It can be a manual save or an autosave (Autosave-1, Autosave-2, etc.).
  You can find them here:
  RimWorld by Ludeon Studios/Saves/
  
  
• Open the older save:
  Make a backup copy first, just in case.
  Then open the .rws file with a text editor (like Notepad++ or Notepad).
  
  
• Search for the saved chats section:
  Press Ctrl + F and search for:
  "SavedChats"
  
  
• Copy all the related data:
  Copy everything under "SavedChats".
  Make sure you include all <li> items if there are multiple entries.
  
  
• Paste into your current save:
  Open your current save file the same way.
  Search for the "SavedChats" section.
  Replace the existing data with the one you copied from the older save.
  
  
• Save and reload the game:
  Save the file and reopen RimWorld.
  Your conversations should now be back!

• Always create backups before editing save files manually.
• This is a safe method if done carefully.
