Bug Reports
This is a centralized topic to report bugs, since the new topics created don't send you a notification.

If you want us to take a look at your error, we NEED you to submit error logs. It is crucial you provide us with Hugslib logs - we are not interested in comments ‘X doesn’t work because Y’, and we will not reply to those, even delete them if they hide proper bug reporting. Hugslib logs are what tells us, devs, what went wrong, and what mods you were using.

IF YOU DON'T POST A HUGSLIB LOG, YOUR REPORT WILL BE DELETED FROM NOW ON TO AVOID CLUTTER.

To get hugslib logs, make sure you have a Hugslib mod running, then press CTRL-F12 while in game and copy the link to us.

If Hugslib is not an option:

Note that you can find your logs at \steamapps\common\RimWorld\RimWorldWin64_Data\output_log.txt and you can share it with me by uploading it to https://pastebin.com

Not really a bug, but it's probably still better to put this here than in the general comments: there's a tiny overlap with the PropagandaAndManifestos mod ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3241842758 ) that also has 'Religious [Tt]ext's. Could you be convinced to rename your book (or vice versa) to something slightly different if that mod is detected? Maybe 'holy scripture' or 'devine manuscript', or something?

To further clarify: there are no errors, warnings, etc, but there are now two pretty different items with exactly the same name. That's all.

Got a book of condiments, the description on the item mentions "...permanent mastery..." which gives the impression that its a permanent buff like the durathread book, but it is a timed buff. The infographic you have posted does describe this as temporary, in game description might benefit from a tweak to align with the actual effects.

Having a problem with the books. Pawns just keep picking up and putting away books repeatedly making them stuck in a loop. https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/dd6cad7d4776dd76e26efd5ce4308796

You have so many errors and bugs in that list that this particular issue doesn't even show up there
something seems strange with stainless steel.

I gave my best crafter the stainless steel book and made some stainless steel halberds ( vanilla weapons expanded mod weapon ) to replace the old steel ones I had been using. I checked their info tab because I wanted to see the damage number increase from the old ones and compared them and.... it went down? like way down.

specifically the "excellent" quality stainless steel weapons I made were worse than even normal quality steel ones. good and masterwork stainless steel seems to have worked as intended but it seems that "excellent" quality stainless steel stuff may be broken.

mind you I have a bunch of mods active so it could be something else doing it. I made a basic stainless steel knife from base game which turned out "excellent" quality and seems to have worked as intended. I don't think its the halberd that's the issue as Iv'e made steel and plasteel ones in past runs that worked correctly using the same production mods.

so quite frankly I don't know what caused it. but as a person who likes looking at the newly crafted weapons each time I tier up, this is the first time I have noticed it and this mod is one of only like 10 mods I added to my last modlist. so I am inclined to believe the error lies here, although I may be wrong.

that all being said, my game always launches with a bunch of errors, but they never stopped me playing before so i never given them much thought. the logs are probably a mess and might not have even logged this issue as an error. though perhaps it will still give you something you can look at idk.

the mods I used when making the broken halberds that may have had an affect.
vanilla furniture expanded - production: large electric smithy, smithing cabinets.
vanilla weapons expanded: halberd recipe
even more linkables: laser engraver

@dovah jun siid - How are you comparing the damage?

I suggest having both weapons on the floor when comparing, not equipped.

i am so dumb i forgot a carried weapon will be affected by manipulation. all the new weapons were on injured melee pawns after a raid the day prior and all the old steel ones were on a shelf. i forgot about the raid and injuries since it was played the day before. the one uninjured one melee pawn happened to have the masterwork one. dropping the weapons on the ground and reinspecting the weapons everything looks right.

sorry for wasting peoples time feel free to remove my post.
For some reason Ruined Books don't seem to be destroyed after being read for me.

I bet the reason is somewhere in those 441 mods ;))) But it's not in the log
oh yea, for sure, but as you noted nothing in the logs to help me figure thing out. Welp, i'll let you know if I narrow it down
I had a crafter read the Stainless Steel Treatise. He's creating stainless steel weapons as expected, and they have the increased stats, but the HP increase isn't filled in. So if he creates a knife, it'll spawn with 100/110 HP.

Does it happen with only this mod?

My situation is slightly different from yours. Most of my colonists cannot read the ability books in the Alpha book. They just pick up the book and put it down to do other things. But the strange thing is that all the slaves can read it correctly and gain the corresponding abilities.
Damn, I think I know why my colonists can't read books properly. The time allocation mod will cause the colonists to not read when they are working (pick up the book and put it down), and the colonists can read the book properly and gain abilities when they are playing and resting.:steamfacepalm:
