Some ansers I found here and there
For anyone asking how they can know the price of an item :
- Check the encumbrance of the item
- Multiply encumbrance by 10 and tada : you now know the price

Exemple : A backpack has an encumbrance of 1.0, multiply that by ten (1.0x10= 10$). So you need to pay 10 dollars for it

As for very light items which price go below one dollar, they will still cost a dollar

Exemple : A needle has 0.01 encumbrance so 0.01x10=0.1$ but you'll still pay a dollar for it because adding a cents system may be too complicated

PS : In game money item is the money system used in the mod

As for making money, it will mostly depend on your starting occupation.
You spawn as a cop ? Great ! Go shoot some criminals to gain cash ! (yes you're still not allowed to take stuff from the police station so for now, try to spawn in it)
Spawn as a mechanic ? Coolio too ! Go around and fix some cars
You're jobless ? Well don't worry we got you covered, grab a mop and clean the streets of trash (and blood)
Firefighter ? If you're brave enough you can approach the flames and put tem out with a fire extinguisher (like the policeman you'll want to spawn inside a fire station to freely take items)

Maybe the issue with location-occupation link has been fixed I'm not sure yet

Same, grabbed a book from a library and everyone panicked. I ran away, worked out at the gym with a bunch of people. Was fine until I pulled that book I grabbed out to read it then I got gunned down by the gym goers. So excited by this mod but definitely some things need to be made clearer/fixed up. Even still, just walking around with npc doing their thing is fantastic.

Do you have the right amount of money for it ? Maybe try putting your money in your main inventory, it might work only that way. I don't work with the modder so if it persists, might wanna let them know on the official PZ discord in the showcase channel

Check my previous answer. it's weird it's doing that because even on livestreams of the mod out right now it didn't do it

I thought I read a passage somewhere about doctors but I can't seem to find it and I'm not sure you can check NPCs for injuries. Maybe you can, no idea. If not welp, time to pick up some trash or go GTA mode lol

lumberjack, mechanic, doctor, policeman and fireman has it

how does lumber jack make money i can't seem to find out how to make money as much as i try

Cut wood and put it in log containers (such as in McCoy warehouses). And don't think about taking it away to replace it. It will just remove the money you gained

Spawned as a mechanic, there are no cars to fix. they are all 100%, and locked. if you start taking parts off and putting them on it gives no money and triggers NPCs to attack you for messing with a car that's not yours. am I missing something here?
