Regular Species Modules

Special Species Modules
  • Star Wars HK Droids by Reality Machina - robotic units buildable through the proving grounds after SPARKs were unlocked.
  • XCOM Hybrids by RealityMachina - can be acquired through the Gray Market, a custom Covert Action, or by EVAC'ing a mind-controlled ADVENT soldier.
  • Mass Effect Geth by RealityMachina - robotic units, the regular Geth Soldiers can be recruited normally, but Geth Primes can only be built at the proving grounds after the SPARK has been unlocked. Geth Primes have their own class tree, much like SPARKs.
  • Mass Effect Sangheili by Reality Machina - they come in two variants, the basic one is a regular species, but there is a variant that comes with a custom Elite class.
  • Star Wars Commando Droids by Alpha115 - robotic units that can appear at the Gray Market but mainly built at the proving grounds after SPARKs have been unlocked.
  • Skyrim Dragons by Styrium - can be acquired through the Gray Market (very costly) or from their custom Covert Action.

Species Reworks
As RealityMachina is no longer modding, I've tweaked the kit of some of his species modules that I felt weren't as fun in gameplay

Utility Mods
Mods that don't add any new species, but customize the AU experience in some way.
  • The Liberated - the extra faction added by Allis Unknown (The Spectres, originally) is Mass Effect themed. If you want the faction to be more XCOM-themed, this mod turns them into the Liberated faction, of aliens who've escaped the Elders' influence.
  • Twi'leks Generator Fix - if you plan on using the Twi'leks species module, their generator doesn't properly respect the DLC sliders under Options>Gameplay; this mod fixes that.
  • Kexx Cosmetic Integration - Kexx has ported over the cosmetics for several of RealityMachina's original Mass Effect species modules. With this config-only mod, your aliens can gain some slightly larger pool of cosmetics.
  • Integration with One Million Colors - this mod should allow you to freely relocolor (most) alien species.
  • One Million Color Integration for Vipers - same as above, but specifically for the vipers.
