Consider this mod: Archotech and Psychic Shield Belts provide EVA Protection
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3265661340
There is also an EVA Gene that provides EVA protection.
The mechs from the "Amplified Mobility Platform" & "SCV Ready" mod do provide protection from the vacuum of space when worn. The "EDF Mechs" do not.
The issue for me isn't so much the mech itself, but that despite having my pawns full schedule just be assigned Sleep & Pilot they will still do stupid crap like after waking up and eating deciding to go for a walk to relax first... out the airlock... without a spacesuit. When they wake up, eat, and mech up, like they are scheduled to its no issue.
I may have to consider that. From the description though it sounds like those belts only provide environmental protection when activated which would still mean needing to babysit my pawns to ensure they don't blunder off into space before putting on their suit.
I may ultimately just look into editing the "Civilian Space Undersuit" & "Military Space Undersuits" that you can craft with the mod "Save Our Space 2 - Space Gear" as both of those can be worn while wearing the mech and they provide partial, but not full protection against space and vacuum so it should be fairly simple to just modify the numbers to be full protection.
That would allow my pawn to have something they can wear all the time while outside the mech that doesn't get discarded on the floor when they get in the mech like a normal EVA suit does. Would cut down on the babysitting and those undersuits don't provide much in the way of other protection or benefits so it wouldn't be overpowered.
