The Trade crisis
Is it possible to actually save the Trade crisis at the start of the game? it doesn't appear too be.

I saw a couple of times that artificial intelligence managed to go through 4-5 focuses of the base branch, but then they had a crisis. Maybe I'll do something about the mechanics of the crisis. Although, in my opinion, the path of supremacy or communism looks a little more interesting than the basic branch

It is possible. you have to choose the correct options in the event chain.
4th option in the 1st event
2nd option in the 2nd event
1st option in the 3rd event
3rd option in the 4th event

Honestly that is the first thing that needs a rework. Grenclyf needs a diferent way to avoid/get out of the crisis than "choose the correct answer to these four events".
There's also not reason why it shouldn't be able to reestablish relations with Changeling Lands even if they failed/are in the middle of the crisis.
