Specific Changes

Campaign Enhancements:

- Skill Points for Generals: Generals now receive two skill points per level up to rank ten, enhancing strategic depth and customisation in leader development.
- Unit Upkeep Reduction: Unit upkeep costs are reduced by 30-40%, facilitating easier army maintenance and expansion.
- Supply System (Administration Burden): Supply costs for all units and buildings are decreased, with rebalanced supply rank effects and increased tier thresholds by approximately 40%.
- Invasion Forces: Spawned invasions feature increased budgets and unit counts, with subsequent waves spawning additional armies.
- Character Rebalance: The maximum trait limit is raised to ten, and character skills, traits, and attributes are comprehensively rebalanced.
- Court: The maximum actions per turn is increased by 1.
- Faction and Campaign Effects Overhaul: Events, edicts, and unique roles are reworked to distinguish factions and introduce new strategic options.
- Technological Advancements: Technology overhauls introduce additional effects, expanding empire capabilities.
- Attrition Balance Adjustments: Campaign map attrition is adjusted for a balanced strategic challenge.
- Bug Fixes and Improvements: Various base game issues, including unit sets, attributes, weapons, and costs, are addressed.
- Siege Equipment Build Time: Reduced build time for siege equipment maintains conquest and siege momentum.
- Economic System Rebalance: Building effects are modified to yield more resources, supporting larger armies for players and AI.
- Building System Overhaul: Building costs and build times are rebalanced, with income from minor towns and requirements for advanced buildings adjusted.
- Recruitment System Overhaul: The recruitment system is redesigned, with varied building tiers and unit recruitment locations. Landmarks units moved to our own category and multiple varied landmarks.
- Special Recruitment Capacity and Replenishment: Enhanced special recruitment capacity and replenishment rates offer greater force-building flexibility.
- Building Tree UI Changes: The building tree UI is updated to reflect new tiers and strategic depth.
- Strategic Threat and Diplomacy Rebalance: Strategic Threat values and Diplomatic subculture relations are recalibrated.
- Garrison Improvements: Faction garrisons are bolstered with additional, higher-quality units, including unique landmark garrisons.
- Sherden and Peleset Faction Expansion: Sherden and Peleset factions gain the full Sea People roster and improved horde buildings, with increased horde growth and zero movement point cost for horde camp stance.
- Resource Capacity Increase: Stone and gold resource capacities are tripled, promoting empire growth and expansion.
- Pillars of Civilisation Changes: Collapse and Crisis thresholds are reduced by 40%, with rebalanced related effects.

Startpos Changes:

- Major Towns Building Slots: Major towns now include 12 building slots, unlocking progressively with 3,2,2,2,2 slots per tier.
- Minor Town Slot Unlocking: Upgrading the main building tier unlocks additional slots in minor towns.
- Improved Starting Armies for all 39 playable factions: Starting armies have reworked units, most of them are slightly higher tier and have additional units to ensure survival of all important factions early on.

Battle Refinements:

- New Morale System: A new morale system encourages diverse tactics and longer engagements by changing rapidly during battle.
- Lethality Rebalance: The new combat feature ‘Lethality’ has been rebalanced, reducing its effects and chances by 80% across all melee and missile weapons. Lower-tier units now have a decreased chance of lethal strikes.
- Unit Rebalance: All units have been rebalanced with adjusted stats to ensure distinct and meaningful roles on the battlefield.
- Increased Unit Sizes: Infantry units are larger, with melee units at ultra sizes of 140-160 men (top elites at 120), missile units at 100, and general bodyguards at 100, while chariots, cavalry, and camelry sizes remain unchanged.
- Tier 6 Unit System: Each tier has unique melee and missile weapons, armour, and shields, enhancing unit progression.
- Weapon Type Strengths and Weaknesses: Weapon types now have distinct strengths and weaknesses, adding variety to units and classes.
- Character and Unit Abilities Rebalance: All abilities have been modified for a revitalised combat experience, with changes to duration, recharge, effects, and new effects.
- Terrain Effects: Terrain types such as forests, sand, mud, etc., now impact unit stats, emphasising strategic terrain use.
- Battle Map Climate Changes: The climates on battle maps have been adjusted to increase the likelihood of dry weather and moderate extreme conditions.
- New Armour and Shields: The overhaul introduces a range of new armour and shields with rebalanced values for better unit differentiation.
- Armor Quality and Durability: Enhanced armour quality and durability, with weapon types featuring varied anti-armour potential.
- Fatigue Rebalance: Fatigue effects have been recalibrated to adjust the impact on unit speed, melee, and defence skills.
- Experience Bonuses and Chevrons: Experience bonuses and chevrons have been rebalanced, emphasising the value of veteran units.
- Fire Effects Changes: Fire effects have been altered to impact unit fatigue and inflict damage.
- Better Quality Arrows Addition: Enhanced ranged combat visuals with Better Quality Arrows from Mavrik347.
- Faction Visuals: Desaturated colours for over 50 factions for a more authentic visual representation.
- Medjai Units Visuals: Redesigned visuals for regular and elite Medjai units.

AI Changes:

- AI Recruitment System Rework: The AI now builds more balanced armies with a diverse array of units, including custom units.
- Tier 1 Unit Availability: Tier 1 units are restricted to the highest town tiers to encourage the use of Tiers 2-6, enhancing AI recruitment in later stages.
- Campaign AI Difficulty Bonuses Rebalance: AI difficulty bonuses are adjusted with scaled buffs across Normal, Hard, and Very Hard/Legendary difficulties.
Battle AI Unit Stats Bonuses Removal: Removed AI unit stats bonuses to balance battle encounters.
- AI Conquest Decisions Rebalance: AI is now more inclined to occupy settlements rather than sacking or razing, promoting empire stability and expansion.
- AI Budget Rework: The AI budget has increased fund limits, allowing for greater strategic diversity.
- Confederations and Vassalage Reduction: Reduced confederations and vassalage among AI factions to encourage independent growth.
- AI Aggressiveness Increase: Enhanced AI aggressiveness leads to more active engagement with enemies.

UI Changes:

- Custom Campaign Loading Screens: Custom loading screens with the mod’s logo were added to verify mod activation.
- Main Menu Custom Mod Logo: Introduced a custom logo on the main menu for a distinct visual identity.
- Skip Intro Addition: Implemented a skip intro feature for faster access to the main menu.
- Additional Unit Icons and UI Elements: New icons and UI elements ensure a cohesive interface aligned with the mod’s theme.
- Unit Idle Icon Change: Updated the idle icon to a more mature design and reduced size.

Custom Units: Mod now has 195 custom unique units

- Faction Unique Units: Added 93 unique units across ten original Pharaoh Major factions.
- Native Units: Introduced 43 new Native units for all 8 original Pharaoh regions.
- Pharaoh and Kings Elite Units: Expanded the rosters with 7 new Elite units.
- Landmark Units: Unlocked up to 12 Tier 5 units exclusive to specific regions through landmark buildings.
- Total War Troy Units: 40 units completely reworked, adapted and transferred to Dynasties, available for Greek factions, Sarpedon and Thrace.
- Unit Cards: New unit cards by Austere and the team offer a unique visual style for armies.

Important Information for Other Mods:

The overhaul mod is incompatible with certain workshop mods, including but not limited to More Standard Bearers, Agony - overhaul, and COHORTROY Unit Pack. All AI mods are not compatible, All campaign or battle gameplay changing mods are not compatible. Any other Custom Unit Packs will require rebalancing submod (avoid any mods porting units from Troy, we do that by ourselves). Users are advised to deactivate these mods to avoid conflicts.

- Fixed Underdog ability affecting enemy units together with your own,

- 1H Spear units have small bonus vs Club units, 2H spear units have this bonus larger,

- Fatigue tweaks - climbing ladders wont tire soldiers that much anymore, slightly reduced fatigue by various terrains which drain it too fast,

- Small speed increase for all chariots, camels and horses,

- Small mass increase for medium and heavy chariots,

Post Release Content Update 7: The Trojan War!

This is our largest Content Update with 64 new units, covering entire Achaen and Trojan regions, factions and native groups!

All 64 units are completely reworked and redesigned our own original Troy Custom units which fit perfectly into these rosters. Units will be completely redesigned, renamed in most cases and mainly fully rework to fit Dynasties and its core changes.

This content update will flesh out all Aegean and Assuwan rosters! Together with our previous Troy units additions all Major and Minor rosters in these regions will feel like a complete and unique factions!

All new units have completed 3D cards and around 45 2D cards (rest of the 2D cards will arrive in few days). Massive thanks to our card makers - Austere, Gigigio593 and also Dead Baron!

- Corrected ammo capacity for almost all javelin units, higher tiers will have more ammo.

Campaign Changes:

- New starting campaign script - All 39 playable factions received at campaign start faction barracks (those who didnt had it and start with major town), few towns got starting chain tier increase or other smaller tweaks. This helps all these major factions and AI to produce better quality troops with increased variety,

- Minor playable factions received several additional fitting units from our custom rosters - all Egypt, Hatti and Canaan minor factions got additional 4 units each,

- Starting resource income events been rebalanced and added little amount of stone and gold for several first turns,

- Many recruitment changes and fixes,
