FAQ
Q: I already played the original Antumbra campaigns for Shadowrun Returns. Is there anything new in this version?
A: Not really. I didn’t add any new missions or characters for the Saga. The only new aspects are what comes from the Director’s Cut: the updated armor system, improved animations, smarter enemy AI, etc.

Q: I played part of Antumbra for Shadowrun Returns. Can I import my character to the Saga?
A: Unfortunately, no. Saved games are not compatible between the SRR and DDC game engines.

Q: Should I play this game before The Caldecott Caper and CalFree in Chains?
A: My general recommendation is for new players to start with The Caldecott Caper, which is more polished than Antumbra Saga and has a gentler difficulty curve. Antumbra Saga does take place first chronologically, though, so you're invited to start here if you already know that you want to play the entire trilogy.

Q: Is there a DRM-free version of the Saga?
A: Yes! You can get it at https://www.calfree.net/.

Q: Got any tips for me?
A: If this is your first play-through of the Saga, I highly recommend a strong combat build like a street samurai or mage. Always hire companion runners. Talk to everyone when doing legwork; you’ll sometimes come across side-missions that provide bonus nuyen or karma. Spare cash sometimes comes in handy while on a mission.

Q: Argh, this fight is impossible! I hate this!
A: Because the Saga is fairly combat-heavy, you may want to play on a lower difficulty level than normal. Early in the Saga, most fights are fairly straightforward: shoot the bad guys in the face until they're all dead. As the story progresses, though, you will face increasingly powerful enemies, some of whom have entire armies at their disposal, and you will need to adapt your tactics. Pay attention to your scene goals (available in your PDA) for some insight into possible approaches. Sometimes evasion, delay, or retreat are your best options.
