Trouble Understanding a Feature

There's A button in the hire fire menu called contact minions, yet I haven't A clue what its actually supposed to do, can I get some context please?

That's a feature of Not Enough Madness, not this mod. If memory serves, I think that function changes who your Trooper summon will call for that session, but I'm not certain on that.
