BANDITS MULTIPLAYER DEDICATED SETUP
Bandits2 works for B41 multiplayer.

Mod id is now changed from Bandits to Bandits2.

You need Bandits Creator mod to tune the settings of the bandits. Some settings are are controlled by sandbox settings just like in other mods. But some are now controlled by the Creator.

Start the server with Bandits2, modoptions mod and BanditsCreator mod only. I am not stating that it will not work with other mods, but if you are having problems it's the best way to start. Join the game as admin and use the context menu (right click on ground anywhere) and select "Bandit Creator". Edit the clans and bandits if you need. Once you are happy with your settings click "Sync to Server" button on the clans screen (bottom left). This will save your changes not only on your local computer but also on the server.

Do not delete / edit current bandits because they overwrite each time this mod updates. You need to make your own bandits and save the to LOCAL. You can disable standard bandits via sandbox setting if you want to use only your bandits.

FAQ

I already had bandits installed, but now they don't spawn after an update
1.) Go to your .ini file, and change "Bandits" to "Bandits2"
2.) Install Bandit Creator Mod
3.) Reboot Server
3b.) If this doesn't work, try removing Bandits2 Mod completely, restarting, logging in, shutting back down, then installing.

I don't have the bandit clan creation
1.) Make sure you are logged in as admin.
2.) If menu still doesn't appear, the mod is not installed properly. (To have this option you need both Bandits2 + BanditsCreator installed)

I see the mod option but no bandits have spawned
The new system requires you to on first server boot up log in as admin, go to the bandit menu, and click the "Sync To Server" button in the bottom left. This will sync all default bandits (And any you create) to the server.

I want to modify the default bandits
1.) You can do this, but it will always get reverted on an update, so keep this in mind, and would recommend only changing 'spawn days' not taking the time to edit entire loadouts.
2.) If you want to do more than this, make a new clan.

Make sure you have no other mods installed that I indicated. Use the "[DBG] Remove All Bandits" option from the context menu in the debug mode. If that doesn't help, try without other mods, if it still does not help, create a new world.

How does spawning work?

Spawns will occur from x number of survived days for the player they are spawning next to. So if player 1 has survived 2 days, and player 2 has survived 300 days, they may see different spawns near them. They do not spawn based on days since game start.

Spawning will not occur if a player gets too close to a spawn zone during spawning. So if you see an icon, don't immediately run to it, you may cancel the spawn, as the icon tends to generate just before spawning.

Spawn % is the chance per hour of that clan spawning in the time period specified with other settings.

You can test bandit spawns as admin using the context menu, and selecting "Spawn Clan" option.

Sandbox options:
There are couple of sandbox option, but this one may deserve explanation:

General_OverallAccuracy:
1 = "Stormtrooper Mode" (worst accuracy
2 = "Can't Hit the Broad Side of a Barn"
3 = "Occasional Marksman"
4 = "Sharpshooter on a Good Day"
5 = "Laser-Guided Ninja" (best accuracy)

hey @slayer do i only need to do this if i want to change/edit the existing clan? what if i only make a new clan not changing the original ones do i still need to transfer the files?

Not anymore i added a sync option. It's in the creator. All you need to is to use the creator in game when you are connected to a server. As admin you can then press the sync button on the clans screen and it will transfer everything to the server.

Help Pls :steamsad: I can't host server (not dedicated) with this mod, its show up "Server has stopped during launch(Normal Termination)" I did run mod with Bandits Creator and it still show that message, what should i do? from B41 version

i just spent 19 hours over the past two days trying to get this mod to work on b41 multiplayer, i’d argue it simply just does not work on multiplayer. works fine on solo.
I've tried to install both the bandits2 and creator mod for b41 multiplayer multiple times now. while logged as admin on the server, there is no context menu nor any sandbox settings to edit this mod. there is no sync options or anything found in either menu. Is this a known issue? Is there something missing? i've wiped the server twice now and verified the mods are indeed in the .ini for both. Not sure whats going on, but it is not working in multiplayer at all for me.

Context menu is the menu you get when you right click on the ground in game.

With the description page mentioning errors if used on existing world - does that just refer to this guides mentioning how they won't spawn properly until setup like so, or is there another error experience? Just wondering if my groups world (about 4months in) should change, or exclusively stay on Legacy.
