I wonder, would it be possible for you to more evenly distribute the gold among the bots? Oftentimes I have a situation where the enemy carry has like 900 gpm, and the rest of the team all has like 400. I think a good idea would be to get the pos 1 to around 600 gpm, mid and offlane around 500, and then supports around 350. Also, I had the bug today where the carry (an ursa) didnt buy any items.
Best,
If you want to buy me a coffee, you can find a link on the Workshop content.
About Fretbots bonus. It’s kind of by design at the moment. Please note that the more high skilled players you have in the human player team, the more bonus the enemy bots will get because the bots get bonus that’s dynamically adjusted based on the player with the same role on the other team.
But I also agree that it’s not very good or intuitive strategy, will find time and better strategy later to improve the bonus amount to all bots.
Aha i sometimes see this as well and forgot about it every time after the game. thanks for reminder. You will get it in the next release. Tomorrow or weekend.
Will fix it for: Lich, shadow shaman, orga. Let me know what are others, i dont want to go throu all heroes to find.
What do you mean by: "Shadow Demon contesting my CS, Chen power feeding"
Lich spammed Q on cooldown on the wave and sometimes used frost armor immediately after, despite no enemies engaging on him
Shadow Demon would regularly try to get the last hit on almost every creep, and would constantly push the lane with shadow poison
Chen would summon his baby centaur from the facet, send it in for one auto attack on the enemy heroes, and then let it die. He'd then walk up to right click the enemy heroes and die when they fought back.
Winter Wyvern would consistently push the wave with ice shards without any obvious timing or reason. She also does the same thing as Chen, and will walk towards the (nearly full health) enemy to right click them (not even casting Q) and die when they fought back.
Also, it seems that players are not able to command the bots to go take Roshan anymore.
Hmm I added some ping reactions in the past, removed some in a few patches back, and then added those back in recent patch yesterday. But I personally didn’t do a thorough testing for pings. Please upgrade your version. And let me know if the problem still exists
2. Roshan pings do not work at all. None of the bots go to rosh pit despite being in the side lane near to the pit.
3. Commanding them to push or def lanes still somewhat works when using the ping on towers.
Also, for some reason, supports like CM and Treant stop buying obs wards after laning.
You are right. fixed the ping in new patch
There's also an apparent focus & ignorance towards human players:
Early game if 2 enemy heroes chase after me I can make them walk right next to my ally, who doesn't even auto attack them or anything to deter them and help me. Often if I join a fight the bots will redirect their attacks, spell and disables onto me, without that making sense.
So I have allies that don't support and enemies that focus me.
Bots also don't know how to use neutral items or which to use.
Due to not integrating the human player into their team my "allies" often refuse tower defense, as they might feel outnumbered. Just had a game where the enemy pushed all 3 mid towers in a row plus the 2 ancient def towers just because my allies first failed to even appear to def the 2 mid towers, then fed twice during base defense because they piled up against a team with 2 area damage heroes, during which one ♥♥♥ was solo farming the entire time and while we got our sh*t pushed in.
I noticed some unhealthy behavior with the bots decision making:
-they will often chose fights at enemy towers, at night, while being outnumbered but DON'T use their towers to gain an advantage in defense: they either don't defend or appear too late
-casters will keep trying to push even if they have little to no mana and no means of mana regeneration ready in the near future
-sole bots will sometimes keep pushing with almost no health left, even if the enemy is pushing there and outnumbering the sole ♥♥♥ - this is just straight up feeding; looks like some early game farming script didn't get dropped when it needed to: once enemies get their ultimates, disables and talents ready bots need to stop acting as if they're still playing a game in which everyone is still below level 6 and doesn't have proper items
-allied bots will fight to the death at enemy towers instead of retreating early (it's not a danger zone they're trying to avoid)
-early game allies die to the same nonsense over and over again and feed a lot that way instead of dropping risky tactics and playing safe; they also seem to have no memory for what happened that killed them, being unable to recognize the same patterns being played again and again; example: 2 enemies with either stun or slow or a mix of both and the ally trying to get away at too low HP to achieve that instead of playing safe to not get farmed like that
In general all ranged heroes need some information for the prefered min-max distance range (modified by +range items) they're trying to keep for a safe playstyle and those that require some wits to be played need to really learn not to burn their defensive skills at the first chance or slightest inconvenience: If a ♥♥♥ uses the glimmer cape it should either be to channel a spell or to get to safety (instead of reappearing while it's on cooldown).
Bots do ignore the bounty too much too: I've had it in multiple games now where they'd just not pick it up while the enemy bots are willing to travel a long distance route to one, regularly check or are sometimes even there before it spawns. Seeing how the enemy is so well capable of that but allies aren't I'm 100% sure it has to be related to the human player in their team somehow causing this behavior. They almost never grab river runes as well.
About ally rune picking behavior or other behaviors. I’m sorry to hear that but you can choose to ping the target enemy , when allies are close the enemy, to help you out if they are not responsive.
The bots won’t pick wisdom rune if there is a human player in the team, just get the run for yourself. Because i go mid a lot and enjoy picking runes myself. That’s kind of a personal preference, but i think most (over 50%) people would prefer to pick up wisdom rune themselves instead of bots stealing it. I may find time to have a better strategy and implement it later.
