If there are creatures you don't like in your game but others you do, its easy to make changes to the mod. Open your Dwarf Fortress folder, then data>installed_mods>more_vanilla_creatures. If you don't want to delete the file for that creature, open up the file for the creature you're interested in removing. Under [CREATURE:NAME] (below the name and tile tokens) add [DOES_NOT_EXIST] and if you want it to continue to appear in art, add [FANCIFUL].

Perhaps Cheese Men scare you. Perhaps you want a room full of engravings of them to drive your dwarves mad regardless.
