as you looking for them forget for probing atm. Probing does not work. You can set your self few meters from statue hit a probe you wait for one minute and response of your probe is.....no statue found... in few minutes try again. So only with your scanner and you need to be just under 3000m near to statue.
Any way i solved first part ( not worth 10% of effort if chasing just statues. First part( BTW i stop looking for any further challenges regarding statues) i found some kind of encrypted text which is missing part of Brotherhood of Far history. Reward Golden rule rifle/blaster. Oc you can not repair and if you want to recharge you need to travel again all the way to Brotherhoods home land and pay 100 000. Lol thank you very much. I am kipping it as collectable stupid item.
