Empyrion - Galactic Survival

Reforged Eden 2 Beta
Stuck on "Undeveloped Colony"
I'm assuming this is an RE thing, not vanilla, but I could be wrong. But if I'm not....

I've never encountered one of these before, but I found one on a temperate moon in the system I'm currently exploring, and I thought I'd do whatever needs to be done with it.

I fed the materials for the initial "round" of building into the designated box and it worked fine. Then I fed the items for the next "round" into the box, and it worked...except for the "Power Supply" category, which requires a medium fuel tank, a basic generator, 50 energy regulators, 250 electronics, and 50 double fuel cells. I put all of those items in the box in the exact amounts called for, but the console said that there were insufficient quantities. But there aren't. The only things in the box are the exact items in the exact quantities listed. I even went so far as to re-construct all of the items fresh. I thought maybe something got messed up because the generator and the other components besides the fuel tank were all items I had on-hand in my carrier, so I just plunked them in the box. Still no go with freshly-constructed items. I exited the game and reloaded it. Still nope.

So now I'm wondering if maybe the text that tells you what you need is wrong and something else is needed instead of or in addition to the listed items. Or maybe different quantities than what is shown are needed. Or...something. Whatever the case, I can't progress, which is a shame because I'm curious about what this thing is or does when it's built. So if anyone has any insight, I'd appreciate it.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It's done it again. I hate this game...
I just completed this the other day in the server I'm on. But I started it a couple of weeks ago so perhaps completed your particular task before it became bugged. There are seven phases with five tasks to each phase. The development progression is very cool (the colony layout and the buildings themselves are all very well done) and you will see it built up stage by stage.
The materials all make sense and you will see direct results of what you are contributing.

It's pretty clear that a lot of thought and effort went into creating this whole chain, so kudos to the designer(s).

That all said, if you are looking for any benefit other than the reputation, look elsewhere. Unless I'm missing something, you get nothing for completing it (though it did break my leg after the last phase). It will cost several million in materials (mainly from robotics and pre-fabs), and you'll want to have a decent Polaris supply chain. I really feel like some rare vendors or something might be in order upon completion. Some sort of passive income might be neat as well, turning it into an investment.

I will say, it's worth doing once, and I think it could be the basis for other neat developmental POIs or other contribution-type efforts. But for the time, effort, and money, you only get the satisfaction of having done it really.

Completing a colony gives you access to a couple of traders and their missions and the cargo containers on the colony can be looted.
A completed colony has hidden in its final containers ultra, very rare and rare containers of loot.
In addition you have unlimited access to the colony's Furnaces and Constructors.

Ahh. Okay. I'm so used to ignoring containers in factioned areas I hadn't even considered looking. Thanks.
