The vanilla Empyrion's last major update they added a new start called Contact Zone. The galactic map in that start has rearranged the galactic territories such that Kriel, Zirax, Polaris overlap in small area where that starting system is in the center of the overlap. On the Contact planet every power that is in the overlap zone are at war (I think the zone on the galactic map is Crimson Fields War Zone). Kriel, Zrax, Polaris, and Brotherhood of Far. There is no safe zone for the player to start in, so ya better be ready to run as soon as you land. It's kinda fun to watch the CV's of each faction fighting each other, usually right above you. At least I think this is what he's asking about.

Ah, thanks. I haven't played the new starter in vanilla.
Assuming that's what they were asking about, RE2 has its own galaxy, missions, and story.
More faction vs faction conflict is planned but I have no idea when. If they are asking about the new conflict zone starter in particular, no probably not, since if I add a war torn starter I'll probably make it my own thing. So something similar? Yeah.
