Main Story Missions
Hey guys quick question - Playing RE2 and I am doing the RE2 main story line and just did the data logs for the Sienna ship and base. Im playing a coop version of the game and have my friend as part of my faction. My question is if I did those missions already and got the reward for it but my friend has not done them yet, will he still be able to run the mission and get the same experiences? Thanks in advance

For that particular mission he can go through the POIs but unless you manually regenerate them with a console command (in coop) or play on a dedicated server with regeneration enabled, the POIs will be in the same state as you left them. So he won't find any enemies or get any loot except for whatever is given for the mission reward.

It brings up my recent idea. What if it is possible to implement quest POIs in this way: When you has acquired the mission, it says which playfield you should go. When you enter this playfield, the quest-related POI is spawned in certain (maybe a bit random) location. When you are done with the quest and left the playfield, this POI gets deleted.
Of cource, maybe you already thought about this and this didn't work.

I think the idea in coop is to do the missions together at the same time. Or if you already did some then either start a new coop game, or have the friend continue the next mission with you.

Also, it might be best for only one of you to trigger the actual mission steps. Otherwise the missions might glitch, because the coding was designed for single player originally.

Is Chapter 2: Journey to Hades still just not live, or am I bugged? Couldn't find the ship logs (I have the planet ones) after an hour of searching after clearing. So, I manually completed it, but Chapter 2 didn't trigger. PDI says not in game yet, just checking to see what my next step is supposed to be.

The log tells you the next step... It's to the derelict station.

Did the derelict station but didn't find the logs. Auto-completed the mission. Now Chapter 2 is not unlocked.

Ship logs are NOT on the derelict station. They are on an orbiting colony ship above sienna! That's why you couldn't find them. You do the lost colony, that sends you to the colony ship in orbit, that in turn sends you to the station, where you fight Dr Weston.
