Easy-Mode Update:
Removed Shield Penetration from most enemy and player weapons.......
the "easy-mode" update says it changed the mass of large carbon blocks from 300 to 500. just starting a standard game, no setting changes, the large carbon blocks say 500 mass, not 300.
haven't checked other things, but it appears its in "easy mode" by default/always
PS, love the mod

can i just say, you're cute when you're angry.
Just goes to show though that there's a lot of people who enjoy the higher difficulty.
In the case of shield penetration, don't know how many complaints you get on your dischord and github (no access), but seems only a handful here(over and over again in some cases mind you), some just come off as confusion,. seems to me most people either like it, or deal with it/ don't care... once they learn it ain't no bug. obviously you two would know better.
but yeah, not to rub salt in the wound, i actually stopped bothering to dodge, i didn't need to. its not even that great of a tank, (and gawd is it ugly). and i didn't even bother to use the repair station afterwards cause it was faster/easier to buff it out with the multi tool.
in build 26 they blew a hole in the side of the armor despite my epic evasive maneuvering. and it was epic, trust me.
"easy mode" seems fair. Snarky, but fair.
You should have access to the GitHub but I only use it for bugs not general feedback:
https://github.com/RavienGaming/Reforged-Eden-2/issues
You'd need to make a free account if you wanted to post an issue however.
As for Discord we don't have one and I have no interest in trying to manage one but we're involved in several other Discord communities that have frequent and at times rather lively discussions about the scenario and game overall.
It's just impossible to tell how many people actually like or dislike something based on feedback or even streams. Most people only say something if they don't like something leading to a bit of a bias.
Anyway, further adjustments are always on the table so we'll see how things go for now.
50 % of the people love the new changes
50 % of the people hate the new changes
50 % of the people don't really care
50 % of the people had no comment
50 % of the people said "what change?"
Note: 50 % margin of error
I hope this cleared things up a bit :-)
All seriousness aside, Keep doing what YOU think is right. There is always going to be people that hate things you do, just the way it is.
I hated when you put admin cores in the abandoned building. Now I see it as just a new challenge. I play the hand i am dealt and make the best of it.
Does "easy mode" mean that the listed changes to shield penetration, etc. only apply if you have enemy difficulty set to "easy" or is this just a snarky message that it's been removed/changed entirely? I honestly can't tell. I guess I need it explained to my autistic ass like I'm five.
To be clear: I play with enemy difficulty set to "easy" mostly because I have nerve damage in my wrists and hands that makes it more difficult to manipulate a mouse and to click buttons on it, and controllers are even worse. That translates to being not that good at first-person shooter stuff. Plus, I just prefer a more relaxed experience on that front. "Easy" is plenty difficult for me with the FPS stuff. However, I really like(d?) the shield penetration and the changes to tactics and thinking that it required when fighting in/with ships.
So is that gone entirely or only for those of us who play with enemy difficulty set to easy? I updated to Build 27 only a couple days ago, but I haven't been doing stuff where there have been attacks on my ships, sooooo... I don't know. Confused. Some clarification would be appreciated.
snarky message. the modders venting a little frustration
Changes in the "easy mode" update section of the change notes of build 27 apply to the mod regardless of any difficulty settings you choose.
beaten to the punch.
