You can make a Carrier that transport all your Ships with you and also some Modules for Farming, Production, Storage, Repair etc.
And its not that much Grind in the Endgame. Grind is more a Early- und Midgame-Thing. You can mine every Ressource as Asteroid in Seconds. Only Tungsten, Palladium, Magmacite and Platin are hard to get an Asteroid for, but you dont need them that much (just mine it on Planets)
The only Grind left are for Quantum Processors and Drone Swarm Processors. But for the Grind it doesn't matter whether you farm 20 Quantum Cores for one Ship or for five Ships.
thanks all!
Thank you so much
Most carriers are designed to be parked at the Star. You then take the most appropriate ship for what you want to do CV Miner, CV Combat, or Dropship.
If your server supports it there is a mod by Astic which adds scripting. In addition to sorting and a number of other features, Astics mod supports Cargo Transfer - the automatic transfering of the contents of a cargo controller or box to another ship. It is a bit finicky, I find I have to wait at the target ship or base for awhile as the transfered contents come in. Still, it solves that problem.
IMO, the player should be able to do a monster all-in-one ship if thats what they want to do and it doesn't exceed the server restrictions.
So I'm going to make a carrier, all the ship types, then ferry them around to see if I can make something close enough to a jack of all trades ship.
My carrier ship will be 100% focused on movement only... And I hope having smaller gun ships parked on it, will mean they can handle the defense if they need any defense
I think turbines are nice to save power, but they eat up cpu in exchange for that power saving, so I end up wanting the cpu for other things. :( sad because I love their art / effects / sounds they make.
I don't even know how you can use a solar panel on a capital ship o.O Is this a late game thing?
