Abandonded POI's Indestructable
Why change it to force one play style? Is it a change to just slow down and aggravate the players? It used to be fun to try to figured out how to take out the core on POI's especially after maxing out levels. It seams now we are forced to one and only one play-style, (grind grind grind). I for one am not liking the new direction of RE2!

I just wish the story line POIs were not admin cored, or at least, would turn into destroyable cores when the story missions are finished there. The starting wreck you find and the POI on the moon I was just salivating over trying to salvage them.

They used to be, and then people would complain that they couldn't do the missions because they had removed the cores of those POIs!!!! Solution to problem - remove the temptation to salvage POIs by making them admin cores.

Story POIs contain blocks that should never fall into player hands at the time and place in the game where the player does that POI.

The Heidelberg Wreckage contains enough components to allow the construction of a functioning CV before a HV, SV or Base. Big NO.
The Titan Wreckage contains also enough components to allow the construction of a functioning combat CV.
The Xenu Com Station contains FULL CPU extenders, including superior CPUs and a Fusion Reactor. You can't even get that kind of salvage from lategame T3 POIs.

It only makes sense that story mission POIs should have admin cores. Their purpose is specific. Abandoned POIs should not. Those who want to play without salvaging them can go ahead and not salvage them. Those who want to salvage them should be able to do so. And everybody would be happy.Admin cores where placed in game to protect critical POIs part of missions from being destroyed. They ended being used by some scenario creators that abuse the mechanic. But hey why pay attention to players? In the same manner if moders had the mechanic to prevent players from digging of the voxel planet they would do out of spite.

Abandoned POIs are salvageable, but only after they have been conquered.
They have admin cores because they are first and foremost Dungeons with lots of unique loot. Dungeons that have no anti-ship defences and so cannot stop a player from simply firing into them with a ship to destroy the core and gain resources with neither risk nor cost.

There is a cost to using your ship to core them, 1st is ammo, and 2nd is time to loot and salvage. Considering it takes what feels like 4x the resources to bring in a ship from the factory, that means salvaging a lot of POI's. I use the AB POI's to get my 1st CV in and it takes me salvaging the Bunker POI 4x. If I go after Zirax POI's it takes 10x that amount add that with the new shield mech and the early game becomes a grind fest that takes hours and hours to get a simple starter CV in. Starter CV that is entirely made out of Titanium, because of the new shield mech and considering most of the Zirax POI's are steel blocks that leaves ONLY the AB POI's. And what I have seen so far from running the AB POI's the loot is not worth the time/meds to run them over and over. It has taken me over 20 med packs and at least the same of Decon and Trauma packs to run the Bunker POI one time!

In the end you will be forced by players complaining that they can not kill enemies stuck behind furniture and other equipment because they have colliders that suck and allow enemies to shoot at player while the player can not destroy them (known bug never addressed properly) due to POI having admin core. Stubbornness leads to dead ends. Thank you for ruining player's game-play.

Which file in the configuration files do I have to change to make them destructible again? I tried the BlocksConfig.ecf , but there I can only change the Admin Core to be destructable. Does anybody know?

To me, Empyrion and RE and all other Mods are about freedom, what I want to do and how I want to do it. Indestructible abandoned POIs are boring, game breaking to me. The Problem in Empyrion is the bad on foot fighting. If I want to hack my way in a POI with SV or HV weapons it provides some sense of "realism" or "credibility". I loved to play RE 2 to the point, where I found out, that I fire on block and some dev decided, no it's indestructible, because I like the on foot gameplay so much ;-)

Story POIs aside, every POI should be destructible.

RE 2 is super great, thanks to the devs for all the work!

Why beta test and ask for feedback then. Also what use is the hand held weapons and timed charges that are suppose to do block damage for if everything is indestructible.

I have just given up on these, I just don't have 5 hours straight to run, loot, and salvage these POI's. The Zirax POI's are not much better though. With the shield pen and having to destroy the shield gen just to start the POI takes a bit with having to go and repair after every single run. I really wish the Dev;s would roll back some of these changes or at least make them scale better!

My brother and I cleared the last abandoned POI we did in about 20-30 minutes in T2 equipment.

Oh well then I must be lying then because everyone is just as good as everyone else! Not to mention running it single as compared with a team. I feel you brother. SP player here too. I have been noticing similar things like those you pointed, to no avail of course.
