(DX11) Eikesters Decorations and more - Part I
Server crash
Hi

I was doing some creative stuff on a local copy of the map. I also enabled some new mods. It all works good when playing local, but after setting the map to survival and transfering the map to the server all the Eiksters Decoration Pack items where gone. When I tried to place a rail the server crashed with this message in the logs:

2014-09-27 21:49:11.004 - Thread: 6 -> No definition 'MyObjectBuilder_CubeBlock/Eikester_RailingStraight'. Maybe a mistake in XML?

hm could be an issue with the new BlockCategories file but it worked fine on my end, not tested on dedicated server tho. Also just to be sure, do you have any GMenu Mods installed such as the GMenu extension or other GMenu Mods from the Workshop?

I also am having the same issue, here is a link to the mods on my server

I am using SEServerExtender as the dedicated server. Once we place down a block the server crashes.

your solar panels and signs do not cause any issues
Eikester  [developer] Sep 27, 2014 @ 3:28pm
Please try again, i've updated the Mod and tested on my own Server without issues

To anyone with the same Problems: Please delete the File "312976851.sbm" and let the server redownload the correct one. There seems to be a Bug causing the File not to Update

My issue has been resolved. thank you Eikester!

The issue was that I had a older version of the mod on my server, the download that is started when you launch your server did not replace the file.

We resolved the issue by deleting the mod file on the server, and letting it re download from the workshop.

Again, Thanks Eikester.

=> each update i need to do this on my server, it is easy !
BUT all placed blocs are no more here !
it's the only mod doing this (47 mods on the server), no g menu mods or things like that !

i dont know why this happens but i can't do anything about it, its a game bug and happens for other mods too

Hi Wanted to add to the Comments from my self and dontstoplivin.#
we both have the same DS. we did a restart today, when the server returned we had lost the Decor pack 2. it was in the Gmenu- and it was able to be placed in creative "midspaces admin mod used to switch" but when i go to place it normaly the blocks dont place. also even place via creative the block disapears on restart. Note this is a Fresh world. with only 8 grids in it.
If you have a means and would like to test this on our server i have sent a friends request- and can invite you to our whitelist group if you wish. I can Load the DS to test while autosave is off.
talk soon

Vizerrei If you have accsess to the mods folder or can ask the host to deleate its content. it will fix it for you. but you have to delete the mod file its self. or the folder. (ON THE SERVER)
If your hosting a listen server find the mod id and goto your %appdata%/Spaceengineers/mods search for the mod. and delete it. or if you dont have of your own local mods delted the folder.
steam will re add them soon as you load a world with them mods in. this should fix the problems.
Note that untill you fix it. anything you place will be .. deleted on world load. at least on DS anyway.
Btw. This is ONE possable fix. it could also be a problem Eikester can solve but refeshing the mods is never a bad thing.
Thanks
Mr JInx
