Project Zomboid

Every Texture Optimized
This topic has been pinned, so it's probably important

If you have any visual problems write here
But first of all read the installation instructions, it's very important. Especially if you play with mods!

Installation:

1. Method - If you plan to play without mods for any retextures and body or vehicle remodeling, you can just download this mod and activate in the game!
2. Method - If you plan to play with mods for retextures and body or vehicle remodeling, you need to copy the files from the directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\3119788162\mods\Every Texture Optimized\media\textures

Into the directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\media\textures

And confirm the file swap. In this case, you do not need to activate the mod in the game!
I repeat, you do not need to activate the mod in the game! It's already done.

3. Method - If you didn't find the 108600 folder or you have macOS, or GeForce NOW, you must install Mod Manager and use it to specify my mod at the top of the list of activated mods!

How can you help me and yourself in improving our mod:

1. If you share a screenshot of the visual problem
2. If you find a visual problem while playing without mods for retextures
3. if you share the name of the mod file that creates the visual problem

Also try to help each other in my absence, as this is our common mod!

The 2 method has been tested and nothing has changed with the character, BUT the error with the black skin is random, with a random choice of a character, the eyes may or may not appear. He referred to the problem of hairstyles, beards, but no - it was not their business.
I only have a modification of Simple Overhaul: Melee Weapons (SOMW). It only replaces weapon models, but does not affect the skin itself. A list of modifications is provided

I have the same issue described earlier by @Nada Afterwards in the comments section. Vehicles such as Nyala, D6, Step Van, Valuline, Bulldriver etc lack texture, just color, usually shifted.
I specifically started new game without any mods except this one to make sure it is not caused by any other mod (I am not subscribed to any mods which affect vanilla cars either).

screenshot three[media.discordapp.net]

Method 2 is used, mod itselff is disabled.

Checking more carefully, the same thing happens to me that happens to others in the car textures... I'll try the Hotfix version as well to see what happens. Thank you for this. :)

Alas, it didn't work. What is made in fashion, what is made by hand - everything is the same

Keeping everyone informed that I've updated the hotfix.
It is only for those who complained about visual problems with vehicle.

Basically, it only affects the appearance of dark-skinned characters. The eyes and eyebrows will not be visible, but will appear normally if the Chest Hair setting is checked. Other than that, the pros outweigh the cons. I hope this issue can be resolved in the future.

@Green show me screenshots of you having a problem. Also try to tell me which black skin this applies to.

P.S: Without your hints and screenshots the hotfix update is still a long way off!

In the first photo, just use your mod and set the character's skin color to the darkest color, you can see that the eyes and eyebrows become invisible

https://upload.cc/i1/2023/12/26/Q3SGbX.png

In the second picture, the "chest hair" setting is checked to make the eyes and eyebrows visible under the darkest skin tone.

Since women do not have "chest hair" settings, the problem cannot be solved if the female character chooses dark skin.

Except for the one on the far right of the skin color setting, other skin colors will not have the problem of invisible eyes and eyebrows.

If the photo cannot be displayed, please tell me, or you can directly add me on Steam to contact me.

I saw your problem. I have a question, what method did you use to install my mod?

The single-player mode is to subscribe and activate the module, the same is true for the multi-player mode, and it is not a method of file overwriting.

In that case, try move mod to the top of the list of your activated mods. Then completely re-enter the game!

That's why I'm testing on single player mode, because I've set it to be the first mod to load, but the problem is the same as you can see in the picture, in multiplayer mode I'm with 200+ mods The problem is the same when using it, but I don’t want to modify it in an existing save file. After all, it’s meaningless. To let you see the problem, you can only test it in single-player mode.

PS : The two modules shown without names are the language translation modules I use and do not affect your modules.

In this case, by directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\3119788162\mods\Every Texture Optimized\media\textures

find the Body folder and delete it. That should help.
