Seeking Feedback: Help Us Balance Weapons in Star Wars: A Cosmos Divided
Hello Cosmoteers,

We're reaching out to gather targeted feedback from the community to help fine-tune the weapon balance in Star Wars: A Cosmos Divided, our total conversion mod for Cosmoteer.

Our focus is Career Mode, and we want to make sure that every weapon — from starfighters to capital ship turrets — feels fun, fair, and faithfully tuned.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for your feedback across all weapon types. Please consider the following elements when testing:

  • Damage Output: Does the weapon feel too strong or too weak against shields, armor, or structure?
  • Range: Is the weapon's range too short or too long relative to its role?
  • Turret Turn Speed: Does the turret track targets appropriately for its size and cost?
  • Explosion Radius: Does the weapon cause splash damage that's fair and balanced?
  • Rate of Fire: Does the weapon fire too quickly or too slowly?
  • Energy Consumption: Is the energy drain appropriate for the weapon's damage output? []Time to Kill (TTK): Are battles too fast or too drawn-out when using this weapon?
  • Weapon Durability (HP): How easy or hard is it to destroy the weapon in combat?
  • Cost vs. Power: Does the weapon’s performance match its in-game resource cost?
  • Counterability: Are there effective ways to counter this weapon in play?

How You Can Help

Test various weapons in Career Mode and note how they perform in real missions.

Share observations on balance issues or standout problems.

Provide feedback with as much context as possible: ship roles, faction matchups, mission types, etc.
