It seems that our author has exerted too much force on the numerical adjustment, and several units that left a very good impression on me in this mod have suffered significant weakening, such as Diuradon (C-beam engine) aka Stegosaurus laser, Crichtonoth (nova engine), and Thunder Lizard. After this adjustment, I discovered several very serious issues. From my personal understanding, this mod was originally designed to help the Lizard Man race in the game have a complete set of monster combat systems, similar to armored units in modern warfare. A large number of high-quality artillery were added to the game, such as Crichtonoth (nova engine), which specializes in group damage. This allows it to perform very well in the face of a large number of enemy groups, and can easily defeat the front row of enemies attempting to charge; The Diuradon (C-beam engine) aka Stegosaurus laser, on the other hand, is specialized in single unit damage, which makes it very outstanding in decapitation operations and building destruction. It can timely disarm the enemy's elite forces to relieve the pressure on its front row. The Thunder Lizard, as a legendary unit, plays a role in determining the battlefield situation. Whether it is the Crichtonoth (nova engine) or the Diuradon (C-beam engine) aka Stegosaurus laser, its work is competent, and its generous numerical value allows it to have the ability to counter defeat and win even in the face of multiple level natural disasters. But this adjustment has greatly reduced the damage of all three mentioned above, and even the quality of Crichtonoth (nova engine) is not much better than that of Jialong (sun engine), which makes me very puzzled. It is clearly aimed at giving lizard people a better combat advantage and allowing players to have a better gaming experience. I can understand that the author may feel that all three of them are very powerful and want to limit the appearance rate of these units through balance adjustments, so that other units can also be favored. However, this should not directly turn strong units into scrap. Diuradon (C-beam engine) aka Stegosaurus laser, Crichtonoth (nova engine), and Thunder Lizard are now even less powerful than one-third of their previous strength. Crichtonoth (nova engine) even has a hard time fighting a group of Skarven Rat infantry slaves. Why does a Level IV artillery unit even have a Level I artillery unit? Can't even the cannon fodder troops solve it? The damage ability of the Diuradon (C-beam engine) aka Stegosaurus laser has also greatly decreased. Taking the example of the plague father, four Diuradon (C-beam engine) aka Stegosaurus lasers with lords nearby can solve the plague father in one round of salvo. But now their one round salvo can only cause the plague father to lose less than one-third of his health; The damage reduction of the Thunder Lizard is also very serious, which makes it unable to perform as well in battles facing high-pressure environments as before. I am quite satisfied with this balance change. A successful balance adjustment should not only involve simple and crude numerical changes in damage, but can also introduce other things. If the author believes that Crichtonoth (nova engine) is too strong, then I suggest raising recruitment and maintenance costs while slightly reducing the probability of obtaining samples during exploration. This can maintain its excellent artillery position and prevent it from becoming too rampant. I hope the author can carefully consider the changes related to balance. An excellent unit mod should not only provide players with a large number of beautifully crafted units, but also not fall behind in providing a better gaming experience. This simple and rough adjustment is very disappointing. The Lizard Man itself lacks excellent ranged units to help alleviate the pressure brought by ranged systems such as the Skarven Mouse Man and the Empire on the front line. And now this kind of adjustment has brought this situation back to a similar environment to the original version. I hope you can think twice about the adjustment of artillery units and the possible balance changes that may occur again in the future.In summary, this mod has left a very deep and beautiful impression on me, especially with these exquisitely crafted dinosaur models.
