Epic Boss Fight (Discontinued)
Game's giving high packet loss, could map be the cause?
Ever since the old map got changed, everything since to be really laggy and unplayable for me,
I used to love this custom game and played it everyday but everything changes since the game
gets a new map. Before I start stating stuff, here's my spec, just incase.

- Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Ti, i5-8600k (GPU)
- Asus Prime Z370-P (CPU)
- 16gb Ram(2x8gb)
- Samsung 960 Evo 500gb M.2 SSD (Storage)
- Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo (Cooler)
- Corsair CS650M 650W (PSU)

So, to start with, I've been getting such a high packet loss ever since the game has been updated to a new map, new hero, new gamemodes. It's literally unplayable for me, I love this
game mode so much but I can't play without being frozen and immobilized the whole time.
My guesses is that the cause of it could be:
- New map(very huge)
- Oversized bosses(e.g. SF boss) and the mass-spawning type of bosses (tinker, zombie lord, etc)
- Illusion spawning heroes, (causing so much lags) e.g. Naga Siren, Manta Style, anyone that uses manta tbh
- or just something that messed up in the coding after the reversal of old ver.

(Btw, I'm not lagging, played the game with a stable 120fps, 20ms.)

this issues more likely tech issues rather than your PC, high packet loss was causes by volvo dedicated server new mechanic for smooth gaming exp on doto but the backfire it will send a huge ammount of data at once, combine that multiply spawns bosses illusions, particles, etc. might give the server connection stress, and it will eat your rams. in this case the worst can happen will be out of session or slowing down your pc overtime (till you restart it out again).

the map size its self is not huge and bosses huge sizes doesnt even matter it was already being precaching and its only a sprite,but the matter was high value of HP,dmg, etc on elites, looping radius like spawning spots, aura, etc. this will give a chunk of stress to your pc and volvo server. remember this engine doesnt have junk collector by its default so it will consumed your rams.clearing your rams may reduce this issue exclude net problem.

I've already done most of the things such as defragment, clearing/deleting useless datas in my storage SSD, reinstall Dota, nothing seems to be working, I also did a little checking inside my pc and tried to recheck every aspect of the stutffs inside, nothing works, but I understand that custom games has no purpose on competitive dota gaming, customs are just for some lil' fun, yanno?
But it's kind of unfair to leave the custom games dedicated servers just lagging like that, it is still
a game that we play almost everyday and thats the only way we find fun about it, ya kno?

never ever defrag SSD it will broke your SSD,and this has nothing to do with reinstalling dota, or cleaning HDD/SDD, and yes indead its just a mere costum mod game and its required more of your PC resourses than an actual doto why, cause there are tons of moding source codes and so on, but what help me to reduces this issue are set to lower the setting a bit than your setting on normal doto (i meant that we dont need hot particles of water nor shadows for fast hand reflects, well in the end its up to your preferences either glamor but lagged or smooth but cheap display) and clearing your rams will help you play this mod with ease and smooth.hope this will help you
