Assorted Weapon Mechanics
This stuff is mostly referenced in the change log but there's a bit more detail here for some important details.

Lock-On-After-Launch (LOAL) - The AGM-114 can be fired indirectly at any visible target while staying out of danger. LOAL shots require keeping the target in sight for an extended aiming sequence as well as the entire missile flight time. LOAL shots will not be taken automatically, so you will have to order your helicopter to attack manually to take a shot.

LGBs - Once tracking towards a target LGBs will continue to a target point even if you break away from the attack or start another attack. So you can, for example, rapidly target a number of buildings for destruction in a single pass if your micro is quick enough. Note that they will only track moving targets if you continue the attack uninterrupted (so if you're trying to hit a moving tank, you'll need to keep running in).

Bombs and heavy arty - These systems can devastate heavy armor with direct hits or (for bombs) near misses. The do fairly little damage to armor if they don't strike it directly. Note that the fragmentation radius for large bombs is very large (hundreds of meters) so make sure your infantry are at a safe distance or protected in armored vehicles before carpet bombing that village.

FFAR (folding fin aerial rockets) - Many of these have HEAT warheads and will do damage like an AP round if they manage to hit a vehicle directly (though that's pretty hard to do). Otherwise they do fairly standard HE damage

Napalm - Napalm is extra effective against infantry in buildings and forests and will block LOS

Thermobaric weapons - The RPO and TOS-1 are more effective than standard HE against infantry in buildings, but don't do as much damage to light armor as standard HE.
