Love Marriage Family
I don't really experience lover events--like at all.
I like the mod a lot so far. But I wish there were more events with spouses. It still doesn't *quite* feel like my character is married to them. Like the description of the mod gave me the impression there are also random events that are just interactions between you and your spouse, I'd love to see marriage actually be really fleshed out. Since this is also a family mod, it would be awesome to have decisions like "Intervene in spat." since a family feast caused the spouse to become nemeses with her daughter. I'd like to at least try to get them on good terms again. That's just one example but I think it would be cool to expand on more ways to influence the interactions between different family members. I'd love to see the "invite for a visit" mechanic fleshed out so that it's a group of events rather than just a single event too, that'd be amazing.

Right now, the lover events are only for lovers you aren't married to... by necessity, as the vast majority of them simply wouldn't be suitable for a spouse.

My original vision was to have a separate bunch of events for a spouse. I'd also envisioned doing much like you suggested and expand the visit event to encompass different kinds of visits - like staying in touch with family that lives far away - and having more happen during the visit.

I don't know that I'll ever get to those, at this rate. It's nice to imagine, though.
I see. But I do think some of the events are compatible with a spouse. Like for example, the broken wagon wheel event in the middle of the forest. That's a pretty romantic scene no matter who does it I think. I could easily see a married couple being in that situation. So to make it easier, why not take some of the existing events that could plausibly work with a spouse too and loosen the restrictions to just lovers and make them spousal events too, in the mean time. Obviously the ones involving scandal or intrigue don't work, but the "close moments" do, even if just with some minor text edits. That could be an easier placeholder while coming up with new events.

There's simply too few of those type in that list, honestly. I suppose I could put them on their own on_action, and just lower the chance of ever getting them by a large amount (as otherwise they'd get repetitive), but I imagine that would defeat the purpose.
