Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

The Old Realms - Core (Season of Doom)
Unknightly Morale debuff.
so i keep getting a minus to my morale after every fight while playing bretonnia.
i have read the manual saying releasing prisoners increase's morale, but it doesn't seam to help, only letting armies go instead of fighting them helps, fighting makes it worse and looting also seems to make it worse. can someone explain this mechanic in detail for me?

please and thank you.

It doesnt increase morale, it increases your chivalry gain, your amount of chivalry decides your "honor" rank. The more chivalry the higher it goes until you stop having debuffs and get buffs instead;
i see.
so a low morale score is intended at the start. thank you for answering so quickly!
max chivalry is 2500 you can get salary down to 50% or 75%, i dont remember, any noble units above knights of the realm i think, will cost chivalry as upkeep, other than that bretonnian race/faction is the best which also lets you become a 1 man army with health regen from career ability and you can deal as much as 400-500 dmg and 1500 with speed on horseback.
as a bretonnian you will come to experience the gap in power between chaos raiders and your troops if you decide to go only noble units which is full cavalry, you can gain chivalry through helping villagers with tasks, like extortion, tools, draught animals, bandit bases, delivering herds and so on.
i have also come to realize at some point in the game you can recieve almost 2500 chivalry by helping a village with their task and when you siege a castle or fort remember to f1 f3 after getting some of the nice perks from your career as a bretonnian noble because if you get that your knights can just get in there and demolish everyone easily.

No sorry, that would make it meaningless.

Nah uh! I can't even have questing knights because they cost 100 chivalry per upgrade and they require chivalry everyday, if it's gonna be just 5k in the future than can we at least get more chivalry from fighting and other things?
Because I don't think we r getting any chivalry from fights and very little from showing mercy.
Just curious here but what are your thoughts on maybe reworking or removing and adding perks from career?
For example, removing the perk that gives a 40% chance to get +1 troop when recruiting and adding something that can boost chivalry gains? And maybe remove the dmg amps for career ability and replace them with something that will benefit the troops instead?

We always take in suggestions, but not all careers will buff the same things
