Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

The Old Realms - Core (Season of Doom)
Does AI not react to spells and not try to counterplay?
I just had fight: 1k elves (me) vs 1k VC.

I fighted in this battle several times, and it was always like that: big blob of elves just run to VC and got annihilated with AOE spells. Every single fight was lost. I tried to juke enemies with cavalry, i tried to do anything, but nothing worked. It's always 20-100 VC left. But auto resolve wins this game in big favor of elves, like 300-400 unites lost at max. I guess because it doesn't count spells.

Basically if AI elves moved scattered, they would suffer less casualties and could naturally win.
Does AI have no idea that spells exist in this game? Does AI doesn't have basic understanding of strong and weak sides of their enemies, i.e. VC = AOE spells?

Also is there any way to control my mages? Like give them command to use defensive spells? Or they randomly use them when they feel it?

Otherwise great mod, purely incredible work done with the game!

No, this isnt total war warhammer, bannerlord AI doesnt react to spells. There is a submod out where the AI does react, but the creator himself said that playing as a caster, it feels unfair because your spells dont do much anymore.

And no you can't decide what spells they cast ingame with commands, you can decide which spells are available to them in their spellbook though.

Can you share the name of the mod, i can't find it?

IDK if it's fair or not. AI cover with shields against arrows, doesn't make arrows useless.

Sadly there's no such mod in this list. There's only VC nerf and defensive buff and mages friendly fire fix.
