Crash when sieging Altdorf
Hello! I'm a vassal of Reikland and Altdorf got taken over by a chaos uprising. When I try to join the siege attack, my GPU locks up for a bit and the game crashes while trying to generate the shaders.

The error I'm getting is: rglGPU_device_d3d11::create_data_texture. The GPU device instance has been suspended.

I have a Radeon RX 5700XT and a Ryzen 7 1800X.
I've lowered the Terrain Quality to medium and disabled Tessellation.

Then its likely due to your drivers. Try version 23.5.2 of your AMD GPU drivers.

Ah. Hmm, that's unfortunate. I need more recent drivers for space marine 2. Oh well.

Addendum: I'm getting the same error just trying to enter the streets of Nuln. The crash always occurs when there is only one shader left.

Did you change the drivers? If not yes the crash will persist. Its due to AMD.

Not really. I was mostly testing around after I reformatted and updated to Windows 11 (still using latest driver, 25.9.1). I documented my observation here in case someone else comes across the same issue, so they can easier find your suggestion about changing the driver.

This crash isnt mod specific though, Altdorf and several other towns currently use a vanilla map " vlandia_town_g " , so you'd crash on those aswell on base game.

This is purely AMD, the only known fix atm is changing drivers.
