And when you say 400, what culture troops ?
The Treemen easily destroy any melee infantry at an average 1:100 ratio.
It's especially bad with VC, as they hardly have any ranged units, and if they do, they're poor, and the infantry (undead) only have half the health.
My record in the simulated battles earlier was 10 Treemen killing 1000 VC melee units (big WTF).
The Treemen have an insane amount of HP (1200) and good armor.
Good damage (150 alpha damage).
But all of this would be manageable if it weren't for this "earthquake stomper" with its stunning effect, which makes them extremely overpowered.
They kill 10-30 units with each hit and stun the rest until the downed troops get back up. If a Treeman stomps again, this effect increases exponentially with increasing numbers, making them virtually invulnerable in pure melee combat situations.
I'll start a round as a Wood Elf and specifically attack VC/Mousillon, using only melee fighters with a focus on Treeman.
But I think this will only confirm my current results that VC has no chance against the Wood Elves' Treeman.
A few dozen of them can very likely easily kill thousands of melee infantry.
Also simulating doesnt really prove much, the VC are average in those, but they shine with their magic in manual battles.
Some factions will have natural counterparts, which is what the elves are to VC until they get their monsters aswell.
Treeman are our first giant "monstrous" melee units, there will be more.
That doesn't say anything and doesn't even acknowledge the problem!
The Treeman can't possibly stay like this! It's extremely unbalanced.
It's not a level 9 unit, more like level 12 (it's like Godzilla).
You can compare it to the Minotaur (also a level 9 unit), there's a world of difference between them.
Anyone can simulate battles with Treeman themselves, and I think everyone will agree that this unit is insane the way it's currently implemented.
And no, you can't compare it to the minotaur because that is only a medium sized monster, not a giant one.
