Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

The Old Realms - Core (Season of Doom)
Mercenary Career and Bloodkiss ?
I'm reading through the manual and it says that the Mercenary can change careers later by receiving the Blood Kiss and becoming a vampire and choosing a new career.

I'm wondering - do they retain the career perks unlocked from their original career or is everything wiped and they start from nothing again?

Only spellcraft is wiped, they keep everything else. ( do note that vampires do not benefit at all from the faiths perk, i think this might also be refunded )

Awesome thanks for the info!

I'm loving the idea of the Vampire but starting as a human Mercenary seemed like the better running-start for me.

Chances are I'm just going to serve under someone while I get the lay of the land and cut my teeth - so to speak.

It'll also make for some interesting (if not cliche) character development when I could later "turn to the darkside."

Just be aware that if you're doing work in Sylvania as a faction friendly human merc, you will take attrition in the cursed areas (the mists).

Unless you get a necromancer or vampire companion, if in service to VC, they should negate the effects, if not that is a bug.

Yes, the VC human merc will take attrition in the mists without an appropriate companion.
