Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

The Old Realms - Core (Season of Doom)
Chaos Portal or Portals, or: Money?
In my Mousillon Necromancer playthrough I got into some severe financial management problems. Mousillon is a small entity and has a lot of enemies around (understandable). I needed to become a vassal relatively early to avoid destruction of this terrible state by the braindead AI of Mr. Serpent. I had only about 300k at that time.

The change from mercenary, being flushed with money, to vassal is of course a problematic affair. After I finally snatched a town from the hands of the greedy ruler (fourth of the towns I immediately conquered for the ruling a...h... as new vassal) I nevertheless had huge problems to manage the finances and the garrison (the town has only one settlement and cannot at all finance my party + garrison without a lot of development, and it's constant war against at least one of the nearby dukedoms, no time to relax). I never ever again will complain about playing as Empire faction btw.

The only possibility I see to avoid bancruptcy is fighting Chaos stacks, but they are so far away that I cannot help the settlement in case of attacks. And of course exactly that happened, the town got sieged when I was on my long way to the Chaos Portal.

Are there other portals or is there only the one in Averland? Are there similar lucrative enemies nearer to the west coast?

To the future, after all factions are made, are some "comfort" features planned for the mod? I really miss Improved Garrisons mod for example which makes fief management much more pleasant than in vanilla.

Ok, so just one portal seemingly. Notice for next playthrough: become a vassal of Averland. ;)

Enemy lords are difficult to get and beastmen have quite cheap loot, not worth it in my opinion. I should have waited longer before becoming a vassal. I think I have to let go my town and first amasss a bit more money in foreign countries.

BTW I really like that you can get good money in TOR from loot and party wages usually are not such a pressure as in vanilla or other mods.

Keep in mind the prices of TOR mod gear is way to high atm and will be reduced next update

I read about it. I think better gear often is correctly priced, lower stuff is quite expensive in relation.
