Fair enough and thanks for your answer
The wreck version is a fantastic idea, would love to see it. Also love the fact that you added the Logitech wireless gamepad as suggested, that truly was the cherry on top of the cake 😂
The sub was updated days ago, here's the changelog:
Update: 24 Jun @ 2:30pm
- Added wreck variant.
- Replaced diving suits with disposable diving suits and removed spare oxygen tanks.
- Rewired docking hatch so it should now recharge the battery while docked at outposts.
- Updated preview image.
sorry im dumb i forgot that i used the submersible with guns
i guess now its a challenge, i have to gain some money to buy the submersible that can be recharged
I'd personally say really hard (from an outsider's perspective).
Since the updates making the battery rechargable through outposts you just need to go fast enough during missions to each outpost, however, this is contrasted due to needing to spend valuable time to complete missions.
It's going to be really hard due to lack of storage, lack of money (because there's a limited amount of missions you can really do without your ship running out of battery or you dying because of it's difficulty or lack of outer guns or other factors like NO CARGO STORAGE), the fact that the ship is so weak, the requirements for hull upgrades to not get absolutely destroyed by crush depth, etc.
Most likely you'll have to get stuff such as mods for a better time (such as barocraftables+ which allows you to make storage shelves without limit whereas you'd need multiple levels as an assistant to even make a few makeshift shelves which are only half as good) or backpack mods for extra storage space on your character.
You can go through the wiki of missions and see why most of them are basically impossible or extremely difficult. Example: Spend too much time while doing something like wrecks or alien ruins, the ship looses all battery or do a monster mission, the ship either breaks open because of a lack of guns or your crew spends health or ammo on dealing with the monster while outside the ship.
I have around 330 hours in Barotrauma and completed the entire campaign in single-solo mode with bots, and yes, you're absolutely right in every point, speaking myself from personal experience as well.
It is obvious that it is not possible to beat the game with this submersible, the question is more like: "how far can you go with this tin can before it becomes completely impossible to even handle basic gameplay or advance any further?" I guess that's the point of the question, pretty much "how far can you push it before it becomes totally impossible due the sub limitations and difficulty increasing the deeper you go.
