13/07/23 - 1.1

First content update/performance pass!
I've made some changes to remove mods that specifically seem to cause issues in Multiplayer. Hopefully, these new additions will play nicely. I'm also including Mod Manager: Server, it doesn't hurt to have even if you play in Singleplayer only. Lifestyle and one of its modules are the biggest content additions this time around, alongside a few fixes.
I also changed the enabled/disabled settings to streamline things further. As before, use my preset file to import this as well as your load order!

In addition to that I've included two sandbox settings preset files, one that aims for a medium difficulty (recommended especially for newer players) and one that's harder, has more zombies, no multi-hit, even rarer loot and car spawns and a few other things to make survival just a little bit less likely. Try them out!

Please note: Cheat Menu: Rebirth is still included as part of the debugging effort. Please disable it for the best experience (I know I like to abuse it if it's there!)

The mod is abundant due to actually being included in the Read While Walking + Skill Recovery Journal mod (both mods are included, actually). So it's no longer needed as it will cause some errors when reading random books.

The main draw of this mod was the ability to attach various items such as water bottles or torches to your belt, however it doesn't play nicely with Common Sense. It also adds some redundant holsters. Note that Noir's Attachments lets you upgrade most backpacks with attachment slots that you can use to get the same result, including torches that work from your back!

All preset file links still work.

So the fingers remodel does impact performance quite a bit, mostly because it also applies to Z's hands. You can imagine what that's like with more than 100 ferals on your screen. Gone!

Gun Stock Attack is experiencing some critical errors after the mod got updated yesterday. It's not crucial to the list and might in fact be a little too strong, so I'm cutting it altogether and recommend you do as well.
I've used this hotfix as an opportunity to add in an old community favourite in SMUI and SLEO - Mods which add a variety of military and police themed clothing, as well as retextures for some of them. With Reorder The Hotbar, you can do exactly that - Drag and drop your hotbar slots around for ease of access, very useful if you have an upgraded backpack with lots of stuff on it.

Shark and Cytt's overhaul just got updated and unfortunately that broke all of the vanilla cars. No idea when this will be fixed, but for now I've taken the mod out. To prevent vanilla vehicles from spawning I've added in a simple mod to do just that. Filibuster's cars as well as KI5's range more than make up for this and just look more cohesive.
If you really want vanilla cars then just deactivate No Vanilla Vehicles.

Important Note: Literally whilst I was making these changes, Shark's updated and fixed the issue (apparently). So keep playing your 1.2.3 save with the 1.2.3 preset file!

Shark and Cytt's overhaul is back! I can confirm that it's working fine now, however you will need a new save if your vehicles were broken (missing parts).
Mod Comparer is a handy little tool that shows you the mods you have enabled vs the mods that were enabled in any save you're loading up. Includes an option to load from your save or update your save with your current modlist. No effect on gameplay.
Don't Need A Lighter was replaced with the updated version, there is now a small risk of injury when lighting your cigs on a stove and car lighters are a real thing now.
Essential Crafting is partially redundant thanks to Soulfilcher's Mods and Common Sense, so best to cut it out. Lastly, I've included a Cheat Menu so you can test stuff easily and on the fly - This is DISABLED by default so flick it on if you wanna debug.

In my test, I've identified the Yamaha Vino motorcycle mod as being a little finnicky when it comes to downloading it, so I've removed that. Took the chance to include two newer and very popular mods - Another excellent car by KI5 and Grab and Drop, which lets you pick up or drop bags with the simple press of a button!

Whew, I've been following the development of Advanced Trajectory's Realistic Overhaul which aims to make gunplay more involved, slightly more (player) skill based and more exciting overall. The old advanced trajectory mod made gun mods like Brita's totally OP, this new take on it lets moodles and levels play a larger part in exactly how precise you can aim. If you're a level 10 shooter with no panic or injuries, you're a killing machine. This is intended. If you're level 1 and start spraying with an SMG, you will have to rely on luck.

However! You can mitigate bad skill levels by crouching and - thanks to a new mod - going prone! Your stance affects your accuracy more now so make use of it. I highly recommend checking out the mod page for Advanced Trajectory to learn more about it.

Going prone will make you quite stealthy as well, Z's will have a harder time seeing you. Go prone by crouching first, then pressing F. Also, if you crawl next to a vehicle, look at it and hit left Shift and you will crawl under it!

Other than these major new additions I've removed a slew of older car mods which, while they were made by the talented KI5, are just somewhat dated and lack animations. His newest two car mods have gone in.

And one last sneaky change: I have added a mod to slow down the sprinters a little (by 25%). This is enough to make it so they don't outrun you anymore (unless exhausted or encumbered). Vanilla sprinters can be a little overwhelming, but I still want them to be a threat, sprinkled in amongst the slow and fast shamblers. To compensate for their slower speed, I've adjusted their spawn rate to 3% (previously 1%) in the normal sandbox preset and 5% in the hard one. Have fun!
