Alternative Realistic Dynamic Monologue / instructions and copypaste below
First i want to thank hello for making this much needed mod that was lacking. That said, Iv found that someone the dialog makes the survivors come off as too experienced during the spawn so I took the time to make some more realistic dialog (especially for the firefighter / police occupations) I left the dialog that made sense and didn't change the named characters and tried to keep the 90s tone vs a Kentucky one. I believe it makes more sense for in game vets to be from Desert Storm vs Vietnam. Any suggestions would be welcomed also, some examples;

Killing the first zombie: 'There goes the first one" has been changed to "He attacked me, I had to!"
Reason: An "normal" survivor likely will have a slight taboo about killing zombies.

Firefighter spawn; ''New day to be a hero!' has been changed to "We're spread so thin, what the hell is going on?''
Reason: Even with cut telephones firefighters and law enforcement would be overwhelmed, there's ton of roadblocks and burnt out houses and cars, firefighters and police spawners would be stressed and trying to figure out what's going on in their small town.

Day one spawn: "What a wonderful day we have today" has been changed to "Uggh, I don't want to go to work today"
Reason: Unless you're an extra cheery person, most people hate waking up and going to work, even if its their dream job most people just want to sleep in.

Surviving first night: "I'm still alive, let's do this.." has been changed to "Just hang in there, rescue will come any day now."
Reason: I doubt the normal, average person turned survivor can process having to cave in several zombies heads of likely neighbors from your starter house, being covered in gore and constantly being on deaths door running, hiding, being grabbed by zombies, i'd say anyone in that situation would hope help is coming, even if the news station is covering the horror up in your face.

New game texts imply the character does not know what's happening outside.
Say that they are an indoor type of person and rarely go outside.
With that said, I might make a % that changes whether they know or not (like if they watch the news)
for someone who would just do arts and read books, 3 days is not a lot of time, and some people don't like watching news.

The No Panic Hit lines are made cartoony to make fun of the zombies since you aren't scared of them.
In my opinion, making fun of a tragic event might be one's way of coping.
And if you don't think that magic zombies are scary even slightly, I don't think you'd care.

Good idea for generator carrying to say "I've been looking for one of these."

ahhh I get your logic now. The idea i was going for was that this was such was shock for normal average person that they'd cope trying pretend normality still applies, I 100% agree with you about coping with trauma with humor, its just that gallows humor is something that's developed over a period of time, even the people who use this method of cope usually have a history. The logic i was going for was a normal American in the early 90s without any internet to inform or prepare them having to rationalize the idea of killing another human being and trying to progress it.

During that time tv culture was big in the US, primetime television was an entire industry of its own as well as entire channels dedicated to celebrity gossip, yes some people don't watch tv ofc, but people have common sense and would try to get information somehow with tv being the only way with the phones cut, that said i also do like the idea of someone just living their life normally and seeing a zombie for the first time, so I have no complains really, either way is cool, your mods awesome either way.

edit: keep in mind the waco raid was only a few months before the knox event, the waco raid was very significant for American's trust in the government, which is why i changed the small town cop lines to have resentment for the feds that left them, and previously screwed over the average civilian
