Any tips for new players?
I started playing this mod recently and would appreciate any tips on starting out, especially the early game. I could also put together a small guide for people if there's enough advice :)

Here my to do list for a perfect horde run:

First off, choose the right class. I always play with the knight (best damage reduction), but u can also choose the vanguard (wields a free cudgel). MAA is only good if u are good at dodging. The archer is garbage (Don't know if u even are able to choose him in the new versions).

1.) Kill enough peasants to buy a decent 1 handed weapon (warhammer [270]/ hatchet [120]/ cudgel [50] - for the brave ppl). Try to fend of the east gate wave (jump out while they are distracted with rekting the gate and poke em to death with ur breadknife, stay near the walls or the trebs will show u the true meaning of allahu akbar).

2.) With ur new-found sidearm, kill enough enemies to buy the lvl 2 health upgrade (400hp for 400 points)

3.) Don't forget to volunteer for every mission that pops up, u can easily earn free points this way

4.) Once u have bought the lvl 2 health and a decent 1h weapon u wanna go for ur main weapon (2 handed). I recommend the Maul for 860 points or the 2h Messer for 760 points.

5.) When this is finished the only thing left u really have to buy is the 2 x hp Regeneration (1300 points)

6.) From here on feel free to go ur own way, what shall it be? A nice ballista xbow, the Klinge or the cactus? Or the overmighty catasling? Thats for u to decide ;)

Locations:

-cudgel is for free (when ur a skellie or a vanguard) or can be bought on the east side of the castle ramp.

-warhammer, hatchet and the Maul are found under the beginning of the big castle ramp (u know were u can buy food for hp points).

-400 hp upgrade is found inside the castle stable (right staircase, when u see a fake cow u know ur in the right place.)

-2h messer is in the green and white tent on the opposite side of the castle (where the north wave is coming from)

-2 x hp regen can be bought on the west side of the castle ramp

Hope this info helps u a little bit.

Oh, so there HAS been a guide in the making. Really detailed, looking great :o. I hope to see it if finished so any players curious about the mod don't get too confused and frustrated right off the bat. Also, thanks for the link :)

I got one tip also, if you are a new player in the mod, don´t go for ballista crossbow right off the bat......INSANE teamkill chance, same thing with catasling, they both are instakill weapons if directed straight towards teammates. Seen a lot of new guys killing people with ballista, I´ve also been teamkilled numerous times cause guys can´t handle the aiming well.....
