Some ideas (class based bonus stats, critical damage)
I've only seen people use MAA and Knight now, I myself use MAA. Could the other classes be made more viable? Say default stat values are at 100%.

Archer could have bonus damage (200%) when using ranged weapons (throwing axes and firepots count on top of bows, slings, and javelins). (150%) faster reload/time it takes to charge bows, javelins, etc. Backstab gets brought back, either built in to the class or as an upgrade.

MAA could have bonus damage (~135%) when using secondary weapons and bonus damage when attacking after a dodge (like riposte but a dodge instead of a block).

Vanguard could have bonus damage (175%) when using slash/etc weapons and bonus damage after riposte (these guys are SUPPOSED to be glass cannons remember?)

Knight could have bonus damage (~135%) when using blunt weapons and a thorns skill built into the class or as an upgrade. Thorns would make it so that enemies take damage whenever they hit you (bonus upgrade would increase knockback like the spikes near maingate do).

New mechanic: Critical damage? RNG based, you have a chance of doing x2 damage, not too sure how you'd be notified, maybe some kind of tracer. If this were added, Archer and MAA could have bonus crit damage for being fast rogue-ish classes.

PS: Do you think it's possible to change the gamespeed via votes like how we can do F2/F3 for difficulty? Votechangegamespeed/votechangeaoc_slomo isn't a thing in console so maybe just have preset values like F4 for 75% speed F5 for 100% speed F6 for 110% speed

If all of these suggestions were implemented, then the overall difficulty should be increased as well in order to avoid making it too easy. I can see archers and vanguards being a lot more useful for sure since they'd actually be, although MAA and Knight are just as useful.

These are nice suggestions and it is a shame that most of the classes are usless in horde. However, I have no idea how to deal more damage for a certain kind of weapon and class since the amount of damage is defined in the weapon script itself.
However, this needs to be done using unrealscript but Sandcastle is officially just a map and not a mod, leaving the possibility open for everyone to make a mod for it since only one mod can be loaded at a time.
And I don't see a need to modify the game speed by vote. I think it highly decreases performance even further if the game is played faster. It should be up to the server owner. In addition, I do not think a map is able to set this option anyway.
