STAR WARS™ Empire at War: Gold Pack

Empire at War Remake 3.5 Revisited
BigCheese256  [udvikler] 8. maj 2024 kl. 14:08
Minor Update 4.1 - Changelog
- A new ship for the CIS faction, the "Providence-class Dreadnaught" with a new icon has been added available from tech level 4 and cross-buildable from CIS planets. Essentialy a mass-produced version of the hero ships used by Grievous, Trench and Dellso, this ship serves as the CIS equal to the Republic's Valiant. Features better weapons and shields than the standard Providence and a large garrison of advanced droid starfighters.

- Executor DTL hardpoints sharing HP with the rest of the ship fixed. Fire rate and accuracy of the ship's weapons improved, and the AOE damage on the TL's has been removed.
- Executor and Eclipse will now call in two fleets to take revenge for their fallen Super Star Destroyer, if it is destroyed.
- Viscount now enters battle with a mixed support fleet of carriers, frigates and corvettes.
- Executor, Eclipse, Viscount and Zann Subjugator tooltips updated with their support fleet information.
- Golan 1 double cost and vanishing issue fixed, returned to 40000 credits. Long build time reduced.
- The Golan 1 off on it's own in the middle of the map has been moved - now both Golan 1 platforms are nearby the starbase.
- Golan 1's proton torpedoes, which are some of the most powerful torpedoes in the mod, have had their fire rate and volley size reduced. Accuracy of it's weapons were also reduced.
- Republic capital ships spawned by the Golan 2 and 3 replaced (was 4 Venators and 2 Secutors, now 3 Servators and 2 Valiants).
- Empire Golan 3's spawned Titan Battlecruiser replaced with 2 Allegiances.
- Empire's Golan 3 being replaced with a prop vanilla starbase in battle fixed (again).
- Battlegroup Command now provides 10 pop.
- Golan 2 and 3 pop limit increase increased further (40 -> 70, 50 -> 100).

- Bugged fire range bonus for Grievous removed.
- Galactic stealth removed from Anakin, Grievous and Asharad Hett, added to Tyber Zann.
- MSzinj, Kenobi, Dodonna, Cronal, Popara and Tyber Zann hyperspace speed increased.
- Combat buffs for Zsinj/Retaliation and Sykes/End of Days added to their tooltips.
- Previous firepower increases for the Venators and ISDs has been removed and reset to previous values. All Venator hardpoints replaced with the "_CW_HERO" variants from CWH.
- Republic Secutor and Venator TL fire rate reduced.
- Sykes' Venator now has a garrison true to it's tooltip - it has been replaced with the upgraded Underworld Venator garrison.
- Underworld Venator garrison upgrade moved from tech 4 to tech 3.
- Aggressor Destroyer hardpoints returned to their original settings, making the TL's targetable again.
- Black Squadron added to Vader's Devastator ISD-1 garrison.
- ISD-1 engagement range reduced slightly to get more of it's weapons in range.
- Lucrehulk, Lukrehulk Battleship and their hero versions pop usage reduced from 85 to 65.
- Auto-resolve losses have been reduced.
- Rebalancing of Quasar Fightercarrier and Battlegroup costs to match their strength.
- Rebalancing of AI Combat Power for units where combat power and cost were out of sync.
- Overlapping music tracks on the loading screen for Republic and CIS fixed.
- Headache-class role changed from "AntiFighter" to "SpaceArtillery".
- Fixed AI being unable to build or use the Liberator carrier and Vengeance frigates.
- Fixed Ton Folk Carrier not being cross-buildable, and Warlords not having access to it.
- An attempt has been made to force the AI to build and attack with mixed ship fleets, resulting in less mass producing of 1 or 2 ship types, a reduced number of capital ships and increased number of frigates. This is still not perfect, given that auto-resolve values are linked to AI build priority and targeted/untargeted building is linked. It should be better than before though.
- The AI credit income bonus based on difficulty has been added to the player on the "mixed control" campaigns, since the AI loses more units in battle than a player would.

NOTE: As of this update and just over 2 years since I started making this submod, 3.5 Revisited is now complete and will not be receiving any further updates specific to this submod. Parity with Clone War Holdouts will continue as before, and there may be more updates once Remake 5.0 version releases. Until then, have fun playing 3.5 Revisited. :)

- Credit cost of all battlegroups has been reduced by 30% and pop usage reduced by 20%. New text was added to the Battlegroup Command regarding this.
- The cost reduction has made the AI much more interested in building battlegroups, so a few had their global countdowns removed to lower the huge number of timers appearing in GC. More may need to be removed in the future.
- Ships added to the mod via CWH in the time since battlegroups were created have replaced some ships in more powerful, higher-level battlegroups. Primarily, this is the Victory-II replacing the Victory-I, Providence Dreadnaught replacing the Providence Destroyer and Servator replacing the Venator. Higher level variants of some CIS and Republic fleets (ie "Open Circle Fleet II" or "Confederate 1st Fleet II") will be added later.

- Faction specific garrisons from cross-built ships have been removed, they will now use the main faction's garrisons and can take advantage of auto-upgrading carriers. Empire and Underworld keep their faction specific Quasar and Liberator garrisons.
- Republic Acclamator, CIS hero Spar, C9979 carrier, Recuscant Light Destroyer and Mandalorian Strike Group garrisons now match their tooltips.
- Republic hero Dodonna, who accidently vanished, has returned.
- Loud alarm when the Corellian Destroyer is killed was removed.
- Annoying voice line spam for Elite TIE Interceptors removed.
- Skipray and Krayt Gunship (cross-build) moved from top to bottom line on the commandbar.
- Vengeance Frigates and the Dragon's Breath Taskforce battlegroup were missing from the unit filters and have now been added. Note filter changes won't apply to loaded save games, only new ones.
- Exceptions to the cost discount from Tarkin, Gunray and Mon Mothma removed.
- Starbase and Golan AI combat power lowered somewhat.

Note: The issues with the AI sometimes ignoring their targeting priorities to target whatever is closest to them (usually fighters) and the invisible... something in the middle of the map throwing projectiles off-course persist. So far a solution to these hasn't be found but I do want these two issues sorted.

- Fixed cross-build Ton-Folk having no garrison.
- Fixed Victory-II being buildable twice by Republic.
- Fixed Executor hardpoint errors.

- A new ship, the Recuscant-class Dreadnaught has been added for the CIS from tech level 3, cross-buildable from all CIS worlds. This ship is of a similar nature to the Providence-class Dreadnaught, in that it is a mass-produced version of CIS hero Toonbuck's ship. Like it's Providence Dreadnaught brother, this ship has a power to shields ability, stronger shields, better fighter garrison and better anti-ship weapons, but loses it's flak cannons. It was given a new icon and is 20% larger than the Destroyer.
- Toonbuck's ship stats were adjusted to match the new non-hero version.

- Upgraded versions of several CIS and Republic battlegroups were added, keeping the same composition as the original versions but with ships replaced with stronger versions (Venator -> Servator, Providence Destroyer -> Providence Dreadnaught ect.). Additionally. Republic and Empire battlegroups had their Victory-I and Acclamator-I's replaced with Victory-II and Acclamator-II's.
- Which battlegroups display a global countdown timer was adjusted to prevent flooding the screen with text.
- AI combat power of battlegroups increased by 30%. This increases the AI's desire to build them and their weight in auto-resolve.
- Pirate Raiding Fleet (tech 1 Underworld) has returned, consisting of 10 Interceptor-IV squadrons and 1 Underworld Venator.
- New icon added for the Hutt Cartel Vanguard battlegroup.
- Battlegroups were moved from the top row of the commandbar to the bottom row.
- Golan 2 and 3 spawned defence ships have been reworked - many ships were replaced, in some cases one more was added. In general these defence fleet became stronger.
- Golan 2 and 3 AI combat power increased per the above, Golan 2 build time and cost increased.
- Fighter garrisons for CIS and Republic Golan 3 replaced.
- Republic buildable fighter lineup has been replaced.
- Acclamator, Dreadnaught and Azure Defence Fleet pop usage increased slightly given their strength.
- Adjusted the balance of the Clone Wars GC map where Republic was too powerful. Naboo switched from Republic to CIS starting control, and CIS starts with 3 battlegroups (was 1). Apailana starts and upgrades on Coruscant instead of Naboo.
- Starting forces for Underworld, Empire and Rebels increased slightly.
- Harrower Dreadnaught was given a full salvo ability to improve it's firepower a bit.
- Missing build limits for some cross-build ships added.
- Now that the AI is less interested in building fighters, their build limits were raised from 8 to 20. Go nuts. :)
- Various text additions and changes, such as changing difficulty names back to easy, medium and hard.

- Fixed AI being unable to build or control the Nebulon Hammerhead, Headache-class and Popara the Hutt.
- Fixed hyperspace speed of Talon Karrde.
- Fixed double garrisons for some battlegroup flagships.
- Massively inflated AI combat power for 27th Denarian Fleet fixed.
- Fixed the issue of the AI dropping it's targets to focus on fighters (causing ships to spin around like cats chasing a pen laser) when on defence. This issue was related to an AI instruction to defend the starbase from it's closest threat, which was usually strikecraft and usually behind the defence fleets (hence the spinning). This instruction was removed.
- Improved AI targeting - it will now focus a target better and be less distracted and constantly switching targets. It will still focus low health ships, and still change target if it's active target runs away instead of chasing.
- AI should now focus defending ships and Golan 1 platforms before the starbase.

- Fixed Confederate First Fleet II and Confederate Third Fleet II crashing the game when built.
- Fixed Imperial Venator turrets being unable to fire forward.
- Moved captains/admirals to the top commandbar row to prevent battlegroups from running off the commandbar.
