[RH2] Faction: V.O.I.D.
Need help with this mod and living in rimworld in general lmao
Preamble - not interested in the secret code thing, I'm asking about how to generally survive this mod and also just rimworld in general.

So I have made a decently successful colony (at least, in my eyes) up to the point of having transport pods and sentry guns defending a rather conventional open-plains base with mostly-vanilla and the vanilla expanded content (mechanoids, insectoids, pirates, settlers, medieval and viking faction packs), so decided it was time to move on to more heavy mods - I installed lots of RH stuff like the rimmu-nation weapons, clothing and security mods, alongside faction packs like TF141, Utilitarian, Bounty Hunters, War Mongrels, Metal Gear fellas and of course VOID. I have no idea what the supposed 'op mods' are that people use and I'm not sure if anything included in the mods I've listed could be considered as good enough to hold their own - I do not use combat extended either.

I've started off on Naked Brutality (modified to have TF141 as hostiles, for the funnies) with Mechanoids and Insectoids disabled (I prefer human factions and whatever modded creatures show up for my enemy rosters) and established a crappy mountain base of transhumanist cave dwellers. I've solved the early game food problem, and my biggest achievement thus far is recruiting three other clearly suicidal individuals to help me in this doomed venture - alongside researching biofuel refining and gaining a reliable power source. I know VOID is meant to be hard, but I have not even seen them yet and these N4 creatures are kicking my ass - I only just got a real plasma gun from a bounty hunter who succumbed to my crap WIP killbox (which, by the way, I also have never done before, and am in the process of learning - before I'd just command pawns to fight raids in my last less-modded game) and even that weapon can't save me from what always appears to be an impossible amount of creatures for my base to handle. (And I'll admit, it's been a while since I last played and while I can accept losses - I don't particularly feel like restarting all my progress as frequently as the game seems to send these infected, so thus far I've been dev-tooling them away if I cannot find a way to actually kill them with what I have at the time, judge if you want but idk what I'm doing).

So I suppose what better place to ask than here? Anyone here that can advise me on what to do with this base? How to fight these creatures better? How in the hell to make a good killbox or even base? I thought the game would be merciful and send normal soldiers or other enemies after me first - but Randy is not feeling kind, it seems.

Honestly i would get some more mods (mainly power and security mods) to help defend against N4, Also, Im not sure if this is an VOID exclusive feature But Their transport pods can pierce Overhead mountain tiles, So i would line the inside of your base with Turrets too, The N4 infected (mostly bosses) Somehow FIT into those transport pods, so the turrets have to be in quantity or power, and also some raids give you tox fallout and solar flares, basically its a pain in the ass to deal with VOID.
