But if you hire a new Steward from the Council window, you can choose a character who's already a Seneschal with no problem, and thus have a Steward who's also a Seneschal. Is it possible to auto fire people from their Court position when they're hired for a Council position?

it should calculate gain * perks - loss but it does gain-loss and if the result is negative it simply doesn't add perks.
House feud modifier bug.
Lowborn and lowborn marriage has house feud negative modifier on 1.9.1 version.
