Mid-to-late game crashing with the Black-and-Clear avatar icon when it is on screen for too long in the Fleet Manager. I know I just posted in the comments about this, but it just crashed my game (for the third time) while I had the Fleet Manager open and was working on a fleet. It was being very unresponsive.

If I switch to a fleet without an Electroid Admiral, the game stops slowing down. If I start a new fleet without an Admiral, there is no slow down. Something about the avatar/image and the way it loops is causing problems. But I feel like my situation is an "edge case", and there might not be much that can be done...

Sorry. While the portrait seems to have added to the problem, it apparently wasn't the root of the problem. In a completely separate game, where I'm not using the portrait, similar things are starting to happen. It isn't lagging as hard or crashing, but it certainly is slowing down. The issue seems to probably be with a mod that adds new ship classes. Like I thought, my situation is an edge case. I'm sure the animation on that portrait is fine normally, but between my old computer, the extra ship classes, and the animation... It is just a bad combination. Sorry for making you dig through stuff for something that wasn't your mod's issue. It exacerbated my issues, but it wasn't the cause of them.

Custom made electroid empires dont spawn as AI.

Their civics dont work for the AI, same with the origins.
The AI could not handle the mechanics, thats why it isnt active.

It should work for 3.6 though, the version number doesnt tell the full story of the code :D

Updated the descriptor file to 3.6.*, hope it solves the launcher issue for some people.
The mod however works fine, the code was already working the whole time.
I'm thinking this isn't compatible with Real Space stellar classes, as I just built an aurora habitat on a Brown Dwarf Class L and it's got no bonuses. Is that something you might be willing to look into?

I've discovered Electroid species cannot be cloned with Clone Army origin for some reason, might be a conflict but is something to look into

so for some reason the nova empire spawned as a despicable neutrals which idk if it's intended, i assume it might be a conflict between it and Ethics and Civics: Bug Branch but i'm not sure.

Usually they spawn with certain ethics, Im not sure what happened.
If Ethics and Civics: Bug Branch overwrites this stuff, then maybe this is indeed the reason.

so i took a look at the files and i noticed only your mod has the "set_ai_personality" command on the FE's setup file, other mods that add them don't have that part, even though they add their own personalities.

maybe that's messing things up somehow?

I tested it, it doesnt mess something up.
I tried again and it works, it must be a Stellaris thing or another mod that changes how ethics can be used.
