A hand axe that also has the ability to move small amounts of dirt, functioning as a small shovel. Quite similar in performance and durability to a standard Hand Axe, and can be found in all the same places.
An army tool that can destroy, chop trees and dig dirt all in one, while also being fairly good in combat situations and is also fairly durable. Can be found in places you might find army tools and gear.
A heavy duty axe with a prominent blade, quite effective in combat and also taking down trees. Can be considered "the katana of axes" - and can be found in all the same places you might find a katana itself, such as pawn shops and safehouses.
An uncommon gardening tool for hacking away hardy brush and branches. Not a weapon by design, but can still hack away zombies in short order. Has an inferior statline to the basic Fire Axe, and can be found in places where you might find gardening and farming loot.
A small, lightweight axe designed for emergency situations. Not only functions like an axe but is also suitable for prying things apart like a crowbar. Its simple nature gives it enhanced durability over a typical Hand Axe, but at the cost of impact and damage power. Can be found in Fire Stations as well as rarely in Survivalist loot.
A two bit felling axe, designed largely for the process of cutting trees down. Has identical stats to a common Wood Axe, but is slightly heavier and possesses just under three times the durability - perfect for taking down a forest or two. Can be found in logging loot - McCoys factory and trucks, for the most part, but can also turn up in safehouse weapon stashes.
A dependable working hatchet built to last. Functionally identical to the common Hand Axe, but is slightly heavier and has three times the durability, making it more suitable for long term tree work or a dependable secondary weapon. Can be found almost everywhere a Hand Axe can be found, but is much rarer, but shows up more frequently in wood working loot locations.
A fire fighters tool designed for dealing with brush and forest fires, but also equally effective at dealing with zombies as well. Very similar statline to a vanilla Fire Axe, but can also function as a shovel as well. Can be found in firefighter loot, albeit slightly less frequently than fire axes.
The bastard child of a Wood Axe and a Sledgehammer. Can chop trees just like an axe can and can take down walls and furniture just like a sledgehammer can. More durable than a Wood Axe but less durable than a Sledgehammer. Can be found wherever Wood Axes can be found, but is accordingly much rarer.
Bridging the gap between a Hand Axe and a Fire Axe, the Tomahawk is very fast on the swing and has superior range and statline to a typical Hand Axe, but loses out against a Fire or Wood Axe in all but speed. Can still chop plants and trees and knock down doors with ease. Found in survivor loot wherever melee weapons and axes can be looted.
A baseball bat made out of aluminum. Hollow on the inside, offering less damage and force than a typical baseball bat, but much lighter and faster on the swing. Can be found in most places you might expect to find a normal baseball bat, but is fairly uncommon.
A giant ball of iron wrapped in a thick rubber coating, on a stick. Extremely heavy and unwieldy, but practically indestructible. Can be found in and around gyms and places where gym equipment is stored.
A classic blunt weapon for the more civilised survivor, functioning very similarly to the standard baseball bat. Not much interest for cricket in Kentucky however, so it is sadly a fairly rare find, but can be expected to turn up in all the same places a baseball bat can be found.
A comfortable lightweight metal crutch with leather padding. Being wounded is not an excuse for being idle during a zombie siege. Pretty uncommon but hard to call it rare, can be found in places where you might expect to find medical equipment and loot.
A hefty hammer tool used by firefighters to take down doors and walls when forcible entry into a building is required. Can be considered a lightweight sledgehammer, and is capable of destroying tiles just the same. As rare as a standard sledgehammer, and found only in firefighter loot locations.
A augmented crowbar designed for firefighters, boasting enhanced attack power with the durability of the venerable crowbar on top. Built for the destruction of doors, doing double the damage of axes to them. Can only be found rarely in Fire Stations and Fire Trucks.
A factory grade pipe wrench, designed for cracking open seals and pipes belonging to industrial grade machinery. Perfectly suited for cracking open skulls as well - and quite durable, too. Can be expected to turn up around factories, garages, anywhere you might expect heavier duty tools to be stored.
A gigantic wrench designed for heavy duty factory work and military vehicles. Strong and durable and packs quite a punch. Can be found around garages, factories and especially mechanic workshops.
An enormous man sized wooden club further enhanced with iron studs along the faces. Utterly unwieldy in combat but delivers an extreme blow to anything unfortunate enough to stand in its way. As an unusual but historical real world weapon, it's not commonly found except in the usual places - safehouse loot and pawn shops, primarily.
A well used giant wooden mallet designed for whacking in fence posts. Has some knockback behind it and is surprisingly comfortable to use, but also lacks for durability and damage. Can be found wherever there's farming and gardening equipment.
A ridiculously huge and heavy hammer that could stop a train in its tracks, let alone a poor defenceless zombie. Heavy and slow, like the kind of people who use it. Can be found anywhere you might find a Sledgehammer, although at half the chance. Good luck!
An old timey hammer that was once used for hammering in railway spikes along train tracks, paving the way across America. Functions very similarly to a Pickaxe, but trains the Long Blunt skill. Not too common to find around the world, but it can be found in antiques as well as the same places Pickaxes can be found, although a bit less often.
A sturdy metal bar, flexible and well suited for cutting and shaping. Similar in performance to the standard metal bar - more of a material than a weapon, but can still inflict some decent damage when applied to faces and rib cages. Can be found in places where metalworking loot is found, but is a little less common than your average metal bar.
A piece of wood that has been shaped in such a way to to offer support when walking and standing. Not particularly hardy or strong as far as weapons go, but it's better than nothing. Functions somewhere between a plank or hockey stick, and can be found in wardrobes, closets and certain clothing store loot lists.
Essentially the Long Blunt Katana. Hits hard and fairly fast but is heavier and needs more stamina than the katana itself. Found in places where you might find a katana, such as pawn shops and safehouse loot.
A branding iron made out of hard wearing solid metal. Originally meant for heating and searing the flesh of cattle, now put to good use bashing in the faces of the undead. Can be found in farming and rural supply loot locations.
A bigger hammer. Heavier, but is more suited for combat purposes than the regular hammer. Functions identically to other hammers. Sometimes found in place of a standard hammer.
A hefty pan made out of cast iron. Heavy for a pan, but extremely durable and hits like a lump of iron - because it is one. Can also be used to cook homemade cornbread. Why? Because why not? Can be found uncommonly everywhere you might expect to find regular pots and pans.
More or less a decorative lump of gold plated iron, or some other heavy metal. Its material value is meaningless at this point, but it can still be treasured for its ability to cave in undead trespassers faces. Can be found in high class loot, furniture and decoration shops as well as pawn and antique shops.
Also known as a tire thumper. A small club used for quickly and humanely killing freshly caught fish. A weightier, heavier counterpart to the Nightstick that has a bit more force behind it, but isn't really meant for combat. Found in locations related to fishermen and fishing.
A well constructed but mostly ceremonial wooden hammer, capable of delivering some solid blows to the condemned and the damned. Functionally very similar to your typical wooden mallet, but pretty stylish, no? Turns up very rarely in high class loot locations.
A meat chefs staple, combining a sturdy wooden mallet with hard wearing metal spikes, well suited for tenderising steaks and zombies alike. Functions very similarly to a basic wooden mallet, but hits a lot harder due to the presence of the pointy end. Can be found in places where butchers work and meat is regularly served.
A great ball of iron covered in metal spikes on a long iron shaft. Capable of delivering mighty blows and crushing zombies into paste with minimal effort. Yet another finely crafted real world weapon of war, and thus isn't a common find in the world, but you can expect it to turn up in pawn shops, safehouse loot and antique places.
An old promotional item that kids adore. A rarity, highly collectible and fairly rare, but sometimes turns up in places where you might find Spiffo Merchandise, which includes random Spiffo crates, the back of Spiffo Vans and even sometimes in day care centers. Absolutely worthless for combat purposes, but isn't it cute?
A little hammer. Weaker in every way than a regular hammer, but weighs less. Can still do every job that its bigger brother can. Most definitely not for combat, but DIY enjoyers might like its portability over its standard version. Found uncommonly around places you might find a hammer.
Fairly common but mediocre weapon found in hardware stores. Easy to swing and has a bit of force behind it, but is otherwise mostly decorative. Useless for construction purposes, but no self respecting Carpenter should be without one.
A mercifully deactivated grenade, presented as a museum piece or possibly a trophy brought home after World War II. Essentially a lump of metal on a stick, once useful for throwing great distances, now more suited for mashing potatoes and brains. Still delivers a fair blow in combat, however. As an unusual item, expect it to show up rarely in antiques and other places with unusual loot.
Also known as an Expandable or Collapsible Baton - it's essentially a nightstick that can be swapped between extended and collapsed forms. The collapsed form is exceptionally portable and causes hardly any encumbrance, but is fairly unsuitable as a weapon, although it has enhanced durability in this form. The extended form handles very similar to a nightstick but has a slightly faster swing. Can be found in police and security loot lists.
An improvised club with spikes, made popular during World War I and its emphasis on trench warfare. Despite its improvised nature, was very dependable and reliable for the purpose of ending life on the battlefield. Can be found in safehouse loot as well as pawn shops, etc.
A portable entrenching tool used extensively by the German army during World War II. Still as capable of digging trenches and performing other shovel based jobs as it was decades ago, and is sturdy enough to smash a few zombies while you do it. Smaller and more portable than your average shovel. A bit of a rarity, expect to find it in survivalist and safehouse loot locations.
A smaller alternative to the crowbar. Can do everything his big brother can do but weighs a bit less, and is much less effective in combat. Rarely found wherever you might find a regular crowbar.
Could be described as the Hand Axe in Long Blade form. Performs just as you'd expect the Hand Axe to, even spawning in all the same places with the same rarity, but relies on Long Blade skill instead of Axe skill. A more accessible Long Blade weapon for those who wish to specialise in them before finding a normal Machete or Katana. Inferior to a regular Machete in every way.
A finely crafted sabre used extensively across the late 18th and 19th centuries. Long bladed and easy to use, and more than capable of delivering serious damage to anything it hits. Comparable in performance to a katana, but is comfortable enough to use one handed, and can be attached to the belt instead of the back. As per usual with real world weaponry, expect it to only show up in safehouse loot or other places known to deal in historical goods.
A broad, large bladed two handed sword designed with decapitation of criminals in mind, brought back to its former glory by some unknown craftsman. More than capable of delivering swift justice to the undead masses, but is a little unwieldy. Found in safehouse loot and pawn shops.
An antiquated scythe meant for cutting wheat and grass, but is nontheless effective at cutting down zombies as well. Fairly fast on the swing and packing good damage, but shows its age in the durability department. Can be found rarely as gardening and farming loot.
The army version of the Machete. Built as a combat weapon from the ground up instead of adopted as one, is nontheless very capable of functioning as a tool and can do everything a regular machete can. Found in army and survivor loot wherever a machete may also be found but is much rarer. Superior to a regular Machete in every way.
An army grade pair of scissors. While not intended for combat purposes, still functions on a similar level to a civilian Hunting Knife when pressed into it. Mostly intended as a more durable pair of scissors, although comes with slightly increased weight to compensate for the additional power. Can be found in army tool loot locations.
A two pronged fork wrought from cast iron. Incredibly durable and with decent reach, with the ability to jawstab, but doesn't cause too much damage in combat due to being designed first and foremost as a chefs tool. Can be found in meat lovers loot lists - Western themed restaurants, butchers tools, and barbecue retail stores.
The army version of the Hunting Knife. Superior in every way to the civilian model, and can even be used for shaving or opening cans of food. Can be found in army and survivalist loot especially around other hunting knives, but is quite a bit rarer.
A prestigious shaving razor. Not particularly suited for combat purposes but is better than nothing if put against a wall. Can indeed be used to shave with just like a standard disposable razor can. Can be found in bathroom and salon loot lists, pretty much anywhere you might expect to find a disposable razor.
A "katana grade" fighting knife from World War II with a highly lethal capability, well suited to combat situations, although showing its age a bit these days. Can be found in safehouse and pawn shop loot lists.
A restored Gladius from the Roman Empire. Suitable for both slashing and stabbing while fighting in ranks. Can be switched between slashing and stabbing stances depending on what the situation warrants. Functions similarly to a Machete and a Hunting Knife, respectively. Has moderate durability. Can be found in safehouse and pawn shop loot lists. Like always.
Also known as a pen knife, pocket knife or locking knife. A sturdy workhorse of knife with a folding blade, that can function as a sharp blade for woodworking and even has application as a screwdriver in electrical work. Possesses high durability but also a high chance to lose it in combat, as it's meant more for civil work than combat applications, and is also incredibly portable due to its pocket sized nature. Not too commonly found in the world, but can show up in places of practical nature, as well as sometimes in bars and other less savoury places.
A large kebab skewer designed for holding whole joints of meat or multiple large chunks of meat before cooking, enough for a group of people. Big enough to perforate a human sized individual if the situation calls for it - although not meant as a weapon, thus durability and impact is somewhat low. Can be found where BBQs and places where meat is sold and served.
A stainless steel meat hook, designed for hanging animal carcasses and large pieces of meat. Its simple construction gives it more durability compared to other tools of the same type and grade, although it wasn't meant for fighting with. Expect to find it in butcher and meat based loot spawns.
A collection of tools in a small and easy to carry package - functions as a screwdriver, can opener, corkscrew, pair of tweezers, scissors and also has a dull knife too. Not particularly suitable for combat, but is an excellent item for those with an interest in practical applications. Not widely available at the time of the outbreak, but can sometimes be found in survivalist loot, found in garages and also in tool sections in Gigamart malls.
A Japanese saw. Can cut logs and perform all the typical tasks a saw can, but its shape and design lends itself to be somewhat suitable for fighting with. Not designed as a weapon by any means, but could be useful as one in a pinch. Can be found anywhere you might find saws, although is fairly uncommon.
A workhorse of a Hunting Knife. Well suited for all manner of jobs befitting a sharp blade, while also being tough and durable. Has identical performance and function to a regular Hunting Knife but comes with roughly three times the durability of one. Can be found anywhere you can find Hunting Knives, but is accordingly much rarer.
An incredibly collectible item from the days when the Spiffo Scout Club was still running. Rare even in those days, only presented to those who excelled in all activities, now practically a myth. Coveted for its ability to function as a basic knife, a shaving razor, a pair of scissors, a set of eating utensils, a needle, a can opener, a corkscrew, a pair of tweezers and a screwdriver. Also contains a pencil and eraser. Spiffo doesn't tighten his belt when it comes to providing quality goods to his little scouts!
Pretty terrible in combat, though - practically a butter knife with extra durability.
Found only extremely rarely in Spiffo Merchandise loot spawns - rare Spiffo crates, in the back of Spiffo vans, even childrens wardrobes and day care centers...just don't tell anyone when you find one, unless you like emergency unplanned larynx surgery in the middle of the night!
A camping or travel tool that combines the function of a butter knife, fork and spoon all in one compact package. Vastly unsuitable for combat purposes, but is an ideal tool for prospective campers and survivalists who like to maintain a bit of decorum during their zombie apocalypse. Can be found in camping and survival loot, but also rarely in the glove compartment of most vehicles too.
The British Empire once conquered most of the known world with the humble musket, but this one has since been deactivated, just like the British Empire itself. Still possesses its dreaded triangular bayonet though, which is still as lethal as it was back in its prime. It is said that combat medics would ignore bayonet wounded soldiers and focus on healing soldiers hit by musket balls and even cannon balls before even considering tending to bayonet wounds, due to just how terrible the wounds inflicted by the triangular bayonet was. Now it is yours to conquer the undead with.
Can be found in historical loot spawns, such as pawn shops and such. Fix bayonets!
An old weapon of war from Europe possessing great range, well suited for pushing back and keeping zombies at bay. Functions as both an Axe and a Spear - it can be swapped between a slower, harder hitting axe mode or the more common and easier to use spear mode. As always with historical real world melee weapons they're incredibly rare but can be found in pawn shops, antique loot and sometimes survivor safehouses.
A fishing spear meant for whaling or hunting other large sea life, but is still useful for spearing fish and other undesirables. Fairly sturdy as far as spears go, built to withstand the forces of great ocean beasts and the ocean itself. Can be found rarely in fishing and fish related loot locations.
A weaponised version of a peaceful tool, now put to work tending corpses instead of crops. Is functionally a spear counterpart of the katana, and does also in fact function like a shovel as well as a fishing tool. Can be found in safehouse loot and the same places you might find a katana.
A Gladiator trident from the Roman era, but still more than capable of functioning in combat as well as a fishers tool, which was its original purpose. Fairly easy and fast on the swing compared to other spears, but is also fairly fragile, considering its age. Expect to find it in safehouse and pawn shop loot, it may also very rarely show up in fishing loot if you're lucky.
A very small can opener issued as part of a soldiers kit during the Vietnam war, and still issued today in the army. Very portable and lightweight, much more than a basic civilian can opener. Based on the P-38 Can Opener. Can be found in Army tool loot lists, as well as on survivalists and the like.
Can also be attached to your key ring!
Note: Side effects include it being able to open every door in the building you find it in. Don't blame me, blame the way keys work in vanilla. Whoops!
A smaller and more compact saw when compared to the Hacksaw and Garden Saw, offering a lighter, more portable alternative for those inclined to carry their workshop around with them. Can be found everywhere you can find a saw, but is rarer than its larger counterparts.
A smaller, more precise pair of scissors used by medical personnel to aid in the dressing of wounds and preparation of bandages. The shape of its blade makes it unsuitable for combat purposes. Lighter and more portable than a standard pair of scissors, however. Can primarily be found in medical loot lists.
An unholy amalgamation of two Fire Axes and the wooden Sledgehammer. Can be switched freely between axe mode and sledgehammer mode, and also shares all the same functions as an axe or sledgehammer while in their respective modes. Requires intimate knowledge with the ways of Axes or Long Blunt to craft, but can also be rarely found in survivor safehouses.
It's the same weapon from Dead Rising 2.
A heavy version of the Defiler, made out of two Wood Axes and the fibreglass Sledgehammer. Can be swapped between stances, and has all the functionality of an axe or sledgehammer depending on the stance you are in. Can be crafted like the Defiler or found in safehouse loot.
The Project Zomboid take on the Defiler from Dead Rising 2.
A sledgehammer that can do everything a normal sledgehammer can, but only once or twice before breaking forever. Not suitable for combat at all. Moderately more common than a regular sledgehammer and can spawn in all the same places.
Same as the Industrial Breaching Hammer but can be used three or four times before breaking forever. Still unsuited for actual combat purposes. Can be found in Police Stations and Police Vehicles, albeit somewhat rarely.
A powerful stun gun that deals a vast amount of damage with each shock, but drains through the battery incredibly quickly. Can be recharged with batteries, however. A somewhat uncommon item to find in personal homes and workplace loot, however is more common in police stations and prisoner management facilities.
A pencil with eraser functionality. Created by combining an eraser with a basic pencil. Functionally identical to a standard pencil, except it can erase markings on your map. Saves a negligible amount of weight.
A stout two handed club that can be carved out of an entire log if you have the aptitude for woodworking. Very renewable two handed hammer with some force behind it, but lacks durability. Can also sometimes be found in bars...suspicious, no?
A hardy club fashioned out of a tree branch with those with the skill to do it. Can bash and bonk with the best of them, but is not intended for prolonged engagements. Not very durable but highly renewable. Can also sometimes be found in bars. Top o' the morning to ya!
A baseball bat converted into a large improvised studded war club using techniques similar to those who fought in the trenches during World War I. Using a hammer and a screwdriver along with fifty screws and a moderate understanding of wood working, a humble baseball bat can be turned into something much more suited for zombie slaying.
Based on the weapon from Fallout New Vegas, is essentially a bucket of concrete with three pieces of rebar left inside it while it dries, and then wrapped in some leather strips for better grip. Packs a significant punch in combat, but weighs a ton and is incredibly slow and not particularly durable.
A sledgehammer created from multiple pieces of rebar and sheet metal, requiring a high level of metalworking skill. If you're tired of looking for that sledgehammer that doesn't seem to want to show up, you can make your own. Extremely heavy and unwieldy, even by sledgehammer standards, so not particularly well suited for combat. Has no trouble taking down walls, though.
A piece of rebar that has had one end softened with a blowtorch and then sawed into a point, which has then had a few pieces of sharpened sheet metal welded to it for good measure. Welding metal to other pieces of metal is never as sturdy as one solid piece of forged steel however, so the actual functionality of this spear is on par with a basic crafted spear. The metal construction is much more durable than wood though, so it will last much longer overall.
Most weapons can be repaired using standard vanilla items - Duct Tape, Adhesive Tape, Glue, Wood Glue etc - it'll work as it does in vanilla. However the metal items require a Propane Torch to repair, and some more exotic items require other items as well.
Requires 3 Metalworking skill and 3 units from a Propane Torch.
Requires 5 Metalworking skill and 5 units from a Propane Torch.
Requires 7 Metalworking skill and 10 units from a Propane Torch.
Requires 3 Tailoring and 10 Cotton Balls.
Requires 25 Screws.
Requires 2 Batteries.
The mighty hammer of the thunder god Thor. Might be found wherever you'd find a hammer, although at an incredibly small chance.
For whom the bell tolls. The Scythe wielded by Death from Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen.
Sorry, it's meant as a joke item. Only Thor is supposed to be able to lift Mjolnir, so I made it weigh 51kg to ensure nobody can pick it up. It's stupidly overpowered anyway so if someone was to figure out how to pick it up (and I guess holding it would reduce its weight to 15kg or something, but yeah) it would make them literally a walking god.
Where's the fun in that?
