Greb  [author] Dec 18, 2024 @ 7:48am
It will eventually. I'm dumb as asscrack hair though so I'll have to wait until other smarter people figure out how mods work in the new build.

Also find time to play B42 and find out what is obsolete or how the new weapons system works too, etc

Also y'know, Christmas and New Years lol.

Speaking of which, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :dwayneelf:

Finally build 42 is out, I hope this mod gets transferred
I will hit you with a shovel Dec 10, 2024 @ 3:46am
suggestion: monkey wrench, that cant wrench anything (due to being to large to grip small bolts and too smooth for pipes) but can be used as a hammer
Greb  [author] Dec 8, 2024 @ 3:50am
It's not meant to be picked up :hammering:

Awesome dude i'll give it a shot thanks
Greb  [author] Nov 22, 2024 @ 11:28pm
You could download a copy and change the item distribution file, either commenting out the code, setting the spawn chance to 0.0 or straight up deleting the spawn definitions for each item you don't want.

Can't remember exactly but you can put mods into a local Zomboid folder to make them load independently of the workshop so they don't update so you can tweak them
bharos Nov 22, 2024 @ 10:52am
Hi! awesome mod, i really like the model work, very vanilla friendly, would it be possible to remove certain items from the pack and keep, for example only a couple of axes and multi-tools? If so how would i go about doing that?
Greb  [author] Oct 31, 2024 @ 9:21am
I can only assume it's from this mod by Gabester, a Museum which features a Civil War section and I couldn't find any clothing mods specifically adding Civil War clothes otherwise:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2881370621

Hope that helps. I'm not sure where else it could be from.
Greb  [author] Oct 31, 2024 @ 9:18am
I'm not 100% sure since my friend group always used a special mod where we "borrowed" the clothing they liked from a big bunch of clothing mods and then put them into one big custom mod for private use, but it was probably from that one American history mod? I'll have a little browse and see if I can turn it up.
Keena Oct 31, 2024 @ 8:57am
Question! In image 7, where it shows the cavalry sabre, what mod do you use to get the cavalry hat?
Greb  [author] Oct 29, 2024 @ 9:58pm
The missing link, a lump of steel on a long wooden or fibreglass handle. Who knew?
☩ Bohémond Ier ☩ Oct 29, 2024 @ 9:47pm
Thanks, I meant Sledgehammer indeed. No worries, I understand it's complicated to make all those mods work proper together. So I'll keep looking for that damn Sledgehammer :D
Greb  [author] Oct 29, 2024 @ 8:17pm
It should be a right click option for certain weapons, although the Splitting Maul cannot be swapped between axe or hammer mode. Thinking about it, not sure why I didn't add that function, hmm. Maybe I'll add it in the future.

If it's not working as a sledgehammer that'll be a mod conflict somewhere. It's a common one. It was linked to "Improved Build Menu" but there could be other mods that have a problem with it too. Somewhere, one mod is overwriting the other. Sorry about that, I was never able to fix it or even pinpoint exactly what the issue was.
☩ Bohémond Ier ☩ Oct 29, 2024 @ 4:11pm
Hi, brilliant mod, thank you for the great work.
I read the Item and documentation topic and I was wondering : how do you switch between Axe mode and Hammer mode for weapons such as the Splitting Maul ? Because I cannot destroy walls when the Splitting Maul is equipped.
Greb  [author] Oct 13, 2024 @ 8:36am
I hope so. It should be an easy thing, I think? Just an ItemTweaker thing to add whatever extra lines of code to the various tools, if it detects this mod active alongside that one. I'd do it myself but unfortunately I'm, well, retarded. At least at the moment :steamsad:
Kor Oct 13, 2024 @ 3:04am
No problem, thanks for your effort. Maybe they will add compatibility on their own.
Greb  [author] Oct 7, 2024 @ 6:37pm
Hey. It's not too much to ask, except for the fact I don't know how I would do that. I checked out the mod and it said it was adding more mod compatibility in the "coming soon" section, so maybe it will become compatible eventually?

I could probably make an ItemTweaker for it and figure out what needs to be added to the tools scripts so it recognises that, but honestly I've forgotten how to do all of that by now and I'm not really in a good place to start relearning it at the moment. Sorry about that!
Kor Oct 7, 2024 @ 2:13pm
Hi, if it is not too much too ask, could you maybe add compatibility to the mod "The workshop"?
It has a tool belt item, but your tools dont work with it.
Showman Oct 6, 2024 @ 9:00pm
You too

Greb  [author] Oct 6, 2024 @ 10:44am
I see. Well, sorry this wasn't what you were looking for, and sorry I can't be more helpful. Perhaps it's one of those lost mods that got taken down to be improved but then got abandoned :winter2019sadbulb:

Well, I hope you find it!
Showman Oct 6, 2024 @ 10:33am
ah okay. ive been looking for an old mod that replaced a bunch of the melee sounds and i was hoping it was this one.
Greb  [author] Oct 6, 2024 @ 10:21am
No, it doesn't touch vanilla stuff at all. It uses vanilla sounds for the weapon impacts, and two custom sounds for the Stun Gun, but that's it.
Showman Oct 6, 2024 @ 10:17am
Does this mod change all of the weapons sounds?
Greb  [author] Sep 7, 2024 @ 9:05am
Was it a custom vehicle? This mod uses tags to identify if an item can function as a tool for a specific task, but vanilla only has one screwdriver item that functions as a screwdriver and nothing else. Most crafting recipes and construction tasks call for a specific item I.E a screwdriver for operating cars or a pipe wrench for plumbing sinks, so most modders simply have their crafting recipes require "screwdriver" instead of looking for the tag:screwdriver or whatever.

If it's not a vehicle mod then I'm not sure what the issue is, but possibly another mod overwriting this one? Spiff Army Knife should work with vanilla stuff as vanilla looks for tags, I think.

You could try the item tags fix mod by opsedar, it's linked above in the description, it might help. I hope it does!
Accel Lex Sep 6, 2024 @ 6:16pm
The Spiffo Army Knife doesn't work as a screwdriver. Not sure if it's due to our server having a lot of mods to conflict, or if the mod isn't working as intended. For context, I tried to replace car parts, and it said I was missing a screwdriver, despite having the Spiffo Swiss Army Knife multitool. Someone else in chat mentioned having the same problem so we just carry a screwdriver separately.
Greb  [author] Aug 31, 2024 @ 5:47pm
Hope it helps, sorry I couldn't be more helpful
aquelarrefox Aug 31, 2024 @ 2:16pm
Ok. Cool data, I will check the distribution for override files. It's a reasonable reason.
Greb  [author] Aug 31, 2024 @ 12:07pm
Hmm, when mods conflict with each other in regards to spawning stuff, it's usually a sign that they're using a generic named item file, pretty simple mistake to make - if two mods have the same named item distrib.txt file, one will override the other, so they're better to be named something like modname_item_distrib.txt - or something like that, anyway. Or maybe it's a .lua file. I can't remember anymore, lol.

I don't think I categorised anything really. They'll be classed as "Weapon" or "Tool" probably...might have done something with Better Sorting and ItemTweaker but I honestly cannot remember :winter2019surprisedsnowman:
