Yari and Horses
This is easily one of the best mods for MnB:W I've seen in a long time, but I have kind of a personal bug bear. It seems like a minor gripe, but it bugs me to no end that for some reason, I can't thrust with spears from the back of a horse. Oh it'll let me do it on foot, but if you're on a horse, suddenly you lose this elementary skill of thrusting a pole in a linear direction. Its especially annoying when you have only one type of spear than can be used as a lance, Jumonji Yari automatically couching when you charge on horseback, but then if you try thrusting it at a lower speed or as a follow up to a couched lance attack, nope, it just swings it.

I know this seems like a petty gripe, but spears and horses have always been a killer combination and especially against fleeing infantry, but forcing me to swing the thing, feels clunky and stupid.

I like swinging, less aiming required, but I do see your point.
If you get stuck in a crowd, trying to swing is an absolute mess, since you'll always get cockblocked by friendly units, and have no way to stab the guys in front of you to get out of the mosh pit.
That's why I always carry a two-hander weapon for emergency situations and sieges.

I came to the forums looking for a yari that could be used to thrust from horseback. A shame that this is all I find. I have yet to even find the spear you refer to that couches and have resorted to using a naginata for best reach/cutting power. I suppose the reason it doesn't work is all spears are classified as two handed? Only the one handed spears could be thrust from horseback in native. Would certainly like to see the thrusting added so I can have my army of Takeda Fire Cavalry function how it's supposed to :P

The Jumonji Yari, its the one with the triple forked head a little like a trident. You still can't thrust with it, but it will automatically couch at speed. I'm also finding the vast majority of polearms in the game are just too long to really use on foot effectively, Omi Yari especially are actually longer than the designated pikes that the game says can't be used from horseback because they are too long.

I'm certain I've seen NPCs in battle couching with different spears, but I can't swear to that, since things were rather hectic at the time. This whole thing feels like a huge oversight to me and it just bugs me.
