Companions
Hello fellow Gekokujo lovers!!! lol, im having really bad issues with party morale, ive not played the normal warband long, just 20 hours. My companions, are appalled at my choice of companions, happy about my style of leadership, and downright appaled at general state of affairs.

ive got the last one down to lack of combat, as i have every possible food (6+) but the companion one is what im having issues with, ive read several other posts, and cant figure it out. ive no idea how to check or figure out how to improve it.

i have 6 companions, and a mixture of Japanesse and foreign ppl, im thinking its because of this. but wanted to discuss this further before disbanding them or chaning party.

Is there anyone that know sthe companions that dont mix, or always have issues? Also, how many compaions are there compared to the vanilla.

does persuasion skill help the npcs aswell?

I dont know about persuation, but I have seen a picture several months ago, that showed how every companion relates to the others....must be somewhere on the net. If I find it, ill post it here. Otherwise you can read the comments of your companions. Sometimes they talk to you and say that they don´t like another person, or that they really appreciate another one.

yea, i got that a couple of times from different ones, but each was a different character, and they didnt like my higher lvled companions, so i said "blah blah is a valued member" i think ill just have to dismiss any foreign looking companions, that might help me out a bit. Thanks for the response!

what does the companions say can you tell us?

it's only the way the companions interact with each other, try to collect like minded ones all foreigners or justice seeking ones or even the ones that like to kill the wounded after battle( I hate those kind) I have a mix of justice seeking and japan ousted nobles, they get along most of the time its good to a least get 6 companions so when you raid a bandit or rebel base they go with you instead of your normal troops< I tend to treat each companion as a officer or leader of a certain group like spearmen, archers, gunners, cavalry, agents, and hired warriors and bushi>

Right, thats what i was doing, but i have a REALLY mixed group, with a women from China, a Mongul women, a samurai, a noble, a monk dude, some guy from England lol, ill have to keep that in mind, i was just been playing alot and wanted to know if the questions i had were legit or just a "they should add that" idea.

sorry for the late response.

and the companions just say things like, i wish george wouldnt be so outspoken or have more honour, and then things like, i i challenged Hoshi to a sparring match, and he refused, saying bushido is something man made up, and things like that, its really just because like i said, i have ALOT of mixed backgrounds in my rag tag group lol
Bakity Bak Nov 8, 2014 @ 12:53pm
that is your problem then don't go for really mixed groups with people who don't like eachother
you can disable companion complaints if you want but if you don't wanna go for that just don't go for really mixed groups kk

Try reading their stories and watch what they say, because if you have someone that is a theif and an honorable soldier, things will go wrong of course. In my party i have Youmu, Hoshi, William, Kojiro, George, and Tojiko and they all seem to get along. Infact Hoshi and Tojiko get along very well.

ill keep a eye on that, having better luck this time around.
